Islamic Practices & Five Pillars
Even though, some of Islamic teachings may be similar to other Abrahamic religions because they come from the same root and preach believing in God; however, pillars of Islam clearly differentiate Muslims from the followers of other religions. Muslims must practice these five pillars in order to remain the followers of Islam. Five Islamic pillars are: Shahada (Declaration of Profession of Faith), Salah (Prayer), Saum, (Fasting the month of Ramdan), Zakah (Compulsory Charity) and Hajj (Pilgrimage, once in life if one is financially able to).
