Can I ask, is this project still alive? Or it's stopped?

Also, is there any plan to make links refer to articles instead of threads?

I am working on a section for refutations in my site and got interested in some of the topics above but I think it's better to finalize the threads and get the summay of the questions that were answered there in the replies to those threads.

I would love to make this dawah database official, but sadly we dont have alot of supporters.

Most people who i have asked for support - they like the idea, but they dont help. Sad, i know.

I was thinking, if we can make them as articles instead of threads and include the most important things instead of posts so the reader wont get lost when reading posts there especially if members where debating or arguing.

If you want and have the time to do it, we can work on this after Ramadan and summarize what we need from those threads as articles. We can look for more people to work on this. After we finish we will spread the articles and I will take what I need in my site at the refutations page I am working on now.

But if we start working on this project I don't want this project to have the same ending as many good projects here, in other words I want everyone who will be involved to be serious and have a strong commitment to the work. We don't want to waste our time on something that might be stopped in the middle inshaAllah.

I tried to make them short but i realised there are alot of questions for each subject. That's why i needed to make them articles longer than expected.

I thought they would go onto the idawah website, but they never.


And I don't think alot of people will even think of helping us, unless the idawah.com site is made famous. But we have no idawah site now.



This is the sad situation of humans, when a few people want to do some good - not alot of people help them. So usually good projects aren't supported and they go to waste.


Sister Aayah, do you know of any people who are webdesigners? If you can find someone who is good at that and willing to help us, i can try to advance this project insha' Allah quicker.

Why they have to be published first in idawah? you can publish them here, in multaqa, in LI and any other places you are a member of, adding to that my site. The ultimate goal is to spread the benefit.

We are preventing much of khair to be spread because the site is not done yet.

To be honest, sometimes even if there is less people working, they achieve something in the end, number of people doesn't matter that much if they have a strong commitment to the work.
See for example some good projects that were in progress here in IL, they were stopped because there were no enough people. It has been almost one year since we started on some of them and stopped later.

If we continued to work on them with the number we already had we would be finish them by now!! La Hawla Wala Quwata Illa Billah!!

Sister Aayah, do you know of any people who are webdesigners? If you can find someone who is good at that and willing to help us, i can try to advance this project insha' Allah quicker.

I am a web designer but I didn't go that deep in the field. So I might help in giving ideas if you want (planning and such).
I will see if people around me have the time to help.


If this project won't be supported, can I take what I want from the above list, summarize it and then get them checked by you?

There is like 4 or 5 topics I am interested in for now.

if we were to have a dawah site, what could it be called? do you think "letsgivedawah.com" would be a good name? or should it be called dawahbase, or something else?

As for the name, I think letsgivedawah.com is good and attractive for those who want to be Du3ah.

I will start on summarizing after Ramadan inshaAllah.

My humble apology for not being able to give all these projects enough time. What we've to do is work on 1 project at a time and we don't really need specific dawah website for all these projects. As long as articles are finished and in a good shape then we can put them IL's main page and then spread them around. Later on, once iDawah is finished, we can just add them there.

I would request both of you to form a team and make a deadline for each topic. Try to get more people if you can, insha'Allah. We need articles which cover each topic comprehensively. Meanwhile, I will continue working on design and script for iDawah.
