Discover Islam » Islamic Beliefs & Six Pillars of Faith
There are six pillars of faith: Belief in Allah (God), Belief in Angels, Belief in Scriptures (the original ones and the final revelation, Qur'an), Belief in the Prophets (Peace be upon them), Belief in Life after Death and Belief in Qadr (Divine Decree). Muslims or anyone who wants to revert to Islam, MUST have a faith in these beliefs! Allah (SWT) says in the Qur'an (interpretation of the meaning): "The Messenger [Muhammad] believes in what has been sent down to him from his Lord, and [so do] the believers. Each one believes in Allah, His Angels, His Books, and His Messengers." [2:285]
