With God's grace, "Pathway Institute for Foundation Sciences" has been launched to be the first resort on the Internet for anyone who wishes to start their acquisition of Sharia-related knowledge with a proper methodology and on sound bases. This is achieved by providing the basics of Sharia-related sciences.

Pathway institute is considered to be the first electronic institution to provide free educational material specifically designed and developed for distance self-learning with Web 2.0 philosophy, in the area of Sharia-related studies on a website.

The institute will continuously develop and update all of the services it provides and add new services that will always keep it at the forefront in the field of remote provision of Sharia-related knowledge, while maintaining suitability with the requirements and future aspirations of learners.

In its first stage, the Pathway Institute provides a free foundation Sharia-related education program of Islamic studies in Arabic and English. The program comprises the following five themes:

Belief Theme: This section presents an introduction to Islamic belief and its most prominent characteristics, common features, learning sources, the emergence of differences in beliefs and its most important causes. Followed by, a detailed study of the six pillars of Iman, studying believes which belong to a number of religions, religious schools and sects

History Theme: This section presents an introduction to the importance of studying Seerah (life of the prophet), its main sources, and how to gain a benefit from it. Followed by, studying the main events which faced the mission of the Prophet Salla Allah Aleihi wa Sallam, and how to make use of Seerah jurisprudence nowadays

Jurisprudence Theme: This section presents briefly the existence of the juristic schools and the reasons of distinction between jurists. Then, it presents a detailed study of Fiqh of worship (practical aspects of Islam), some important sides of Islamic transaction and Family law

Quran and Sunnah Theme: This section focuses on the importance of the scripts of the two inspirations, their authority. Confirming that they are the main source of knowledge in Islam (terms of belief, regulations, and morals [ethics]). Followed by, an analytical study of selected scripts from the Holly Qu’ran and the purified Sunnah

Skills Theme: This section presents some morals and skills expected to be known by the fresh religious student in distance learning. It includes the ethics of seeking Islamic knowledge, social communication skills, distance learning and thinking skills as well

The site allows you to study these subjects in various forms and patterns as follows:

iBook: It is a product which allows the interactive visitor to establish an interactive content in the form of e- book consists of sections and educational pages, this let the other interactive visitors deal with the content in different shapes and patterns. They can comment, modify and assess this content. Moreover, they can use the self- assessment question as well as the other activities.

eDoc: It is a product which allows the interactive visitor to upload the content in the form of an e- file, it can be viewed by the other visitors and get the best of it.

The site also allows you to interact with the content in various forms and patterns as follows:

• Content evaluation
• Posting enriching replies to the content
• Posting comments on the content
• Adding questions on the content
• Responding to questions included in the content

I went through the Arabic site and tried to view one topic about الإنحراف في العقيدة الإسلامية but it keeps loading the page without showing anything. I wonder if this is only my connection. Or maybe I have to register to be able to read??

But in general the site did include some important issues in Islam as a whole

I have been there few times and read some good topics there, but do I have to be a member there?
I mean what other privileges member get there more than the visitors? Is there like teacher tortuing students or online virtual classes?

This Instiute is intended to be like facebook and myspace in one side and to be like a real institute in the other.. that means if you are a member you can upload an Interactive book, a pdf file, or even make your own program using the material inside the site or from outside, plus there will be a real teacher and online lessons and lectures plus these a learning outcome which is a questions about what you have studied with a simultanous answer and result of your answer.. that is what i have experienced myself.. i am still figuring out new things.... just want some time.. if you are there letme know so we can study the same topic together.. it will be fun as well as challenge :D
