Default Tafseer of QS 24:42

Bismillahirohmanirrohim.

Assalamu'alaikum Wr. Wb.

I came across this verse,
Surat An-Nur - The Holy Qur'an

Meaning "And to Allah belongs the sovereignty of the heavens and the earth, and to Allah is the return (of all)."

and Tafsir Jalalayn says "And to God belongs the kingdom of the heavens and the earth, the treasuries of rain, provision and vegetation, and with God is the journey’s end, the [final] return."

I thought if we die, we, either enter Heaven, or enter Hell, depending on what we did while alive.

Sorry if I made mistake.....

Please someone enlight me with this verse complete tafseer......

many thanks.

Wassalamu'alaikum Wr. Wb.

salam alaykum,

Welcome to Islamic-Life.

Yes , Indeed to Allaah is our final return and we will go to Jannah or Hell according to our deeds.

Brother, By returning to Allaah it means, The day of Judgement. Isnt Heaven and Hell with God ?

Let me know If you understand this here.

Assalamu'alaikum Wr. Wb.

Yes, you are right.
Heaven & Hell are with Allah.
It's just they're not mentioned explicitly, so I was a little confused.

Thanks.

Wassalamu'alaikum Wr. Wb.
