| ![]() I am going to make few notes from the book which I am reading and would highly recommend it to everyone who is interested in the subject of Sunnah. The book deals with various issue related to history of Sunnah , It's preservation , The causes of fabrication and much more than what I can describe here. The good thing about the book is that its easy to understand for a person with average knowlege of Islam. The book name is The Sunnah and Its role in Islamic Legislation By Dr Mustafa as- Sibaee. The book is published by IIPH and can be purchased online through their website. I will inshallah try to make note of important areas from the book here. It should be noted that all credit goes to the author of the book. May Allah be pleased be him & he with Him. These notes are my own and does not directly copy from the book except where stated. I may make mistakes during writing it down and articulating the points from the book. I seek forgiveness from Allah for any mistakes which I would make in making the notes and seek help from Him in its preperation. I would highly recommend this book for those interested in the subject.

| Would the Khawarij fabricate lie against the Messenger of Allah (SAW) ? According the author, he did not find any Khawarij in the list of fabricators of Hadiths, although they do have corrupt beliefs but they are not as much responsible for the fabrication of hadiths as the Rafidah Shias. According to the Khawarij beliefs a perpetrator of a great sin was a disbeliever. According to what Al-Kabee related (In Al-Farq Baiyn al Firaq). they held that anyone who sinned , regardless of whether the sin was major minor one, was a disbeliever. Therefore they did not regard lying and wickedness as lawful in their belief and austerity - despite of their false beliefs, they were indeed pious. What is important is that we can establish clear proofs againt Khawarij to say that they were fabricators of hadiths, according to the author he cannot find a proof from his research. Abu Dawood (R.A)said: 'Among the people who follow their own desires, there are none more truthful and upright than the Khawarij'And Ibn Taymiyah (R.A) said: 'Among the people who follow their own desires, there is none more truthful and upright than the Khawarij'He also said: 'They do not lie on purpose, rather they are known for truthfulness. It is even said that their hadiths are among the most authetic of hadiths'So Khawarij were not the fabricators of hadiths and history is replete with events with shows that Khawarij , although wrong, stood boldly infront of leaders and contended with them unlike the Rafadih Shias who resorted to lies , cowardice and carrying out hidden agendas. | ![]() The causes that lead to hadith fabrication and the environment in which they were set. In this chapter the author discusses comprehensively the factors of hadith fabrications. The reasons given are : Political differences: There were various political differences which arose amongst the ranks of Muslims , some were genuine while other were result of malice of those who hated Muslims as a nation and Islam as a Religion. However it should be noted that there were political differences between Muslims but their intentions were always for the welfare of Islam, for the stability of the newly established Muslim empire and for the pleasure of Allah (SWT). The political differences reached at its peak during the clash & misunderstandings between Ali and Muwaiyah (may Allah be pleased with them both). This was the era where hadith fabrication began to take its full form to suit the individual political agendas. It were only the cowards and crooked who fabricated hadiths which included Jews who as usual wanted to infilitrate the Muslim society by corrupting the Muslim beliefs and following the divide and rule policy. Other new Muslims like those from Persia, who even though accepted Islam, did not purify their hearts and still were under the cluthes of Jahiliyyah and did not forsake their Jahilliyah beliefs and instead tried to modify the pure monothesitc teachings of Muslim to suit their ancestorial beliefs and practices. One such fabricated hadith invented by Rafidah Shias to promote their political agendas is this: ''The love of Ali is a good deed and with it one is not harmed by a sin; hating him is a sin and with it one is not benefited by a good deed''References: Page 117-119
