And the example of a hypocrite who recites the Qur'an is like a Raihana (sweet basil) which smells good but tastes bitter And the example of a hypocrite who does not recite the Quran is like a colocynth which tastes bitter and has a bad smell." -Sahih Bukhari Volume 6, Book 61, Number 579

16.Narrated Hakim bin Hizam: The Prophet said, "The upper hand is better than the lower hand (i.e. he who gives in charity is better than him who takes it). Default Re: Pearls among Hadiths

A man will follow the way of his close friend, so let each of you look at whom he takes as a close friend.(Narrated by al-Tirmidhi, 2378; classed as hasan by al-Albaani in Saheeh al-Tirmidhi, 1937)

The Messenger of Allah p.b.u.h. said: Whoever argues while knowingly defending falsehood, will continue to be under Allah's anger until he abstains. (Reported by Abu-Dawood)

'Make it incumbent upon yourself to speak the truth because truthfulness leads out to righteousness and righteousness is the path to Jannah. A person who speaks the truth and makes effort towards it, Allah [SWT] enlists his name among the truthful ones. Abstain from lies as this leads to disobedience and wickedness which finally leads to Jahannam. A person who speaks lies will be among the liars.'

It's narrated by Abu Huraira that the Messenger of Allah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam said:
He will not enter Paradise whose neighbour is not secure from his wrongful conduct.(Sahih Muslim)

It's reported by Anas b. Malik that the Messenger of Allah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam said:
None of you is a believer till I am dearer to him than his child, his father and the whole of mankind.(Sahih Muslim)

The Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam said, "A Muslim is the one who avoids harming Muslims with his tongue and hands. And a Muhajir (emigrant) is the one who gives up (abandons) all what Allah has forbidden."

"None of you will have faith till he loves for his brother what he loves for himself" (Al Bukhari)

The Messenger of Allah p.b.u.h. said: Anyone who goes to a fortune teller or a soothsayer and believes in what he says has, in fact, disbelieved in what has been revealed to Muhammad p.b.u.h. (Reported by Imam Ahmad)

The Messenger of Allah p.b.u.h. said: Whoever causes mischief and scandal to a believer, Allah will put him in a situation of humiliation and scandal on the Day of Judgment. (Reported by al-Bayhaqi)

The Messenger of Allah p.b.u.h. said: He has, in fact, left Islam who walks with an oppressor to help him. (Reported by al-Tabarani)

The Messenger of Allah p.b.u.h. said: The Muslim is he who the other Muslims are immune and safe from his tongue and hand. (Reported by al-Bukhari and Muslim)

The Messenger of Allah p.b.u.h. said: Don't show rejoicing for the misfortune afflicting your brother, for Allah may have mercy upon him and test you. (Reported by al-Tabarani)

The Messenger of Allah p.b.u.h. said: Mention the good aspects about your dead ones, and desist from mentioning their evils. (al-Tirmithi)

The Messenger of Allah p.b.u.h. said: Fear Allah wherever you might be, follow every evil deed with a good deed which will erase it, and deal with people with good conduct. (Reported by al-Tirmithi)

Avoid the seven noxious things.(1) Associating anything with God, (2) magic,(3) killing one whom God has declared inviolate without a just cause, (4) devouring usury, (5) consuming the property of an orphan, (6) running back from the battlefield and, (7) slandering chaste women who are believers but indiscreet. (Bukhari, Muslim).

Four characteristics constitute anyone who possesses them a sheer hypocrite, and anyone who possesses one of them possesses a characteristic of hypocrisy till he abandons it: when he is trusted he betrays his trust, when he talks he lies, when he makes a covenant he acts treacherously and when he quarrels he abuses. (Bukhari, Muslim).

When a man dies no further reward is recorded for his actions, with three exceptions: Sadqa which continues to be supplied, or knowledge from which benefit continues to be reaped, or the prayers of a good son to his dead father. (Muslim).

If anyone removes (one of the) anxieties of this world from a believer, God will remove (one of the) anxieties from him on the Day of Resurrection; if one smoothes the way for one who is destitute, God will smooth the way for him in this world and the next; and if anyone conceals the faults of a Muslim, God will conceal his faults in this world and the next. God helps a man as long as he helps his brother. If anyone pursues a path in search of knowledge God will thereby make easy for him a path to paradise. (Muslim).

People will not sit remembering God without the angels surrounding them, mercy covering them, peace descending on them. (Muslim).

He who remembers his Lord and he who does not are like the living and dead. (Bukhari, Muslim).

'The Most Merciful shows kindness to those who show mercy; so show mercy to whoever is on the earth, then he [Allah] who is in heaven will show mercy unto you.' [Aboo Dawood, Tirmizi]

Abu Huraira Narrated that the Prophet said: “The strong is not the one who overcomes the people by his strength, but the strong is the one who controls himself while in anger.(Sahih Al-Bukhari)

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: "Do not abuse anyone...Do not look down upon any good work, and when you speak to your brother, show him a cheerful face." Sunan of Abu-Dawood
