I do not want to get into too many technical details but here is summary: 1 - These kinds of software would only work for static websites and not dynamic websites. Static means that you actually have physical html pages whereas dynamic websites are based upon server side script, which creates the html code and content on the run or takes it from a cached/saved place (i.e., database) and displays it. In layman's terms, think of like virtual vs physical! So dynamic websites are out of the scope of these software. Maybe there is one which would work for dynamic websites but highly unlikely. Our website (forum and home page) is dynamic which means ... Honestly, now days, static feels like old. If anyone interested in reading more about static websites and dynamic websites, you can find summary on wickedpedia (as ustad Ayman describes it): Static web page, Dynamic web page. 2 - The main reason to download a website on your computer is that you can view when you are not connected to internet or something of that sort. If new changes are made to online copy, your local copy will not be updated unless you manually update. Maybe some software do it automatically, highly doubt it, but you need an internet connection for that. So, this is only good for websites which do not change often. I hope this helps insha'Allah
