and also, if I got any problem after jailbreak it can I get everything back to the factory setting by restore it?

I read somewhere that jailbreak the ipod may cause me to lose the warranty, is that right?

^yes, you can restore it back. When you jailbreak, it allows you save your current ipod system; so, if you run into any problem you can get the old system back.

Yes, by jailbreaking, you lose the warranty. But do you really need the warranty if your ipod has been working fine for quite sometime? However, if you do run into any hardware issue or what-not and you need to utilize your warranty, you just restore your default system and there is no way apple would know whether your jailbroke.

U can unjail brake it by going updating your I touch with the newest or current firmware(like 3.0)
however their warrenty isnot really needed cuz apple pretty much makes their entire hardware virtually impervious unlike pc. In fact the only weak part about the I phones are the screens and that is a given since that is the least sturdiest part of any device.

The reason for the jail brake is because one if thebaddest hackers I forget his name, came up with the jail brake method in order to free the iPhone and touches and bring them to their true potential cuz apple's policies limits the device.

On e u jailbreak it, you can download literaly thousands of apps and features many of which are free all of which cannot be utililized under a non jail broke I device.

Can I still access the application store and downlaod applications from there wirlessly without pluging my device to the computer? because the iTunes will not be of benifit after jailbreak the device, right?

yes, after jailbreak you can download apps from iTune as you do it before when your iphone/ipod is not jailbroken.

Jailbreaking only allows you to install third party , apple unapproved applications. I have downloaded all paid apps from app store for free !

Your iTune would perform all functions! jail breaking wouldnt effect iTune operations.

Also, I want to know, as we all know that when we sync iphone/ipod to itune than all apps which are there in iTune comes into our iPhone.

Now what If I formatted my PC and reinstalled iTune and want to sync my iPhone with iTune? It tells me that it will delete all data on my iPhone and sync it with empty library in my iTunes... is there any way to back up data including the apps in the iTune library so that we can put it back into iTune once we have re installed it?

Please help!

I found the way to back up and restory iPhone DATA which is different from system restore. It is very important for iPhone users to understand this , If you dont know this already, and use the back up and restore to prevent loss of contacts, messages and important apps to iPhone.

Backing up your iPhone or iPod touch
Your iPhone and/or iPod touch is backed up by iTunes each time you:

Sync with iTunes (automatically on the first sync, every time you connect it to the computer)
Update in iTunes (occurs automatically without prompting)
Restore in iTunes (prompts you to create a backup before the restore process begins)
Although iTunes backs up most of your iPhone and iPod touch settings, downloaded applications, your audio, video, and photo content are not included in the backup.

If restoring from an iTunes backup, your iPhone and iPod touch settings, downloaded applications, audio, video, and photo contents will re-sync to the device because the "Sync" option under the respective tabs will be checked in iTunes when restoring from a backup. If you choose to restore your device as a new user, downloaded applications, audio, video, and photo content will not be sync until you select the "Sync" option in iTunes under each tab.

Also, with iPhone 2.0 software and iTunes 7.7 or later, you can manually back up or restore your iPhone or iPod touch from a backup. To do so, Control-click or right-click the iPhone or iPod touch icon on the left side of the iTunes window and choose Back Up or Restore from Backup*:

well, this take us to the first post I posted here, I got that problem and found nothing to solve. I read somewhere that you have to get the key of your itunes library before u format the PC so when you will install the itunes again you will just have to replace the key so there will be no problem in getting your ipod recognized by the itunes library and you will not face any problem of sync

when I restored my ipod last time, all my prev applications wiped out and I didnt get any backup since the itunes didn't recognize my ipod after the last problem
so I wonder if I jailbreak it, will I be able to have a back up ?

You dont need to press home button and than pass finger over the text!. Just tap once or twice at the text it will give you options for SELECT/COPY/PASTE etc.

However these copy/paste features only comes from OS 3.0 onwards. So you need to have that. Which version are you currently using?

I am waiting my bank card to be done so I can update it since I don't trust those other software scattered on the internet claiming that they update your iPod freely!
