^ brother, when you connect your ipod touch to the PC, how did the PC recognized it?

as a removable disk? or something else?

and here:

-Connect ipod and than open iTune (ofcourse!)
-Drag and drop the files into the Music library in the iTunes.
- Press Sync in ipod

Drag and Drop? you mean u could drag from the library of ur ipod to the itunes library in the PC? did that work?

Yes, It recognised it as a removable disk.

By Drag and drop I mean, dragging audio files from the PC to the iTune Library..

^ so I think you can transfer ur files from the ipod to the PC without using itunes

open the ipod from my computer...and enable viewing the hidden files. Then you will find a folder called Music...or something like that, I am not sure..I saw that in youtube.

After that, you can copy that folder with all its contacts to your PC. Then open itunes and insert those audio files to your library.

My problem is that I cant see the ipod as a removable disk, if that sorted I will not have any problem transferring my folders....any idea on how to make it recognize it as a removable disk?

I have given up! I opened hidden files and made them into one folder but they dont work!

Just tried pressing Manually manage music and able to get all files in single playlist!

the strange thing is that most of comments in youtube was positve from people who got that work for them !!!!!

I did not try ur way in having many playlists

I will ask someone tomorrow when I will go for electronics shopping, hopefully they will help me or "us" inshaAllah

brother Acid, I went to an electronics store today and asked them there about the problem

the man there told me that they are waiting the new version of the itunes which is version 3.0 and this one will enable transferring the files from the the ipod to the PC

inshaAllah when I have more time I will do some more search about that to solve the problem and I will update you in case I made any progress

I have a good newa for ipod touch users, there is an application I downloaded yesterday and it deal with the device exactly like an external device. The trial version transfer only 100 or so, at least we can transfer the most important files

next time make sure that you get a backup from your ipod inshaAllah


brother Acid, I tried to do the opposite after I got my backup and I chosed to transfer files to the ipod, but it wipe out all my media files in the ipod!!! maybe because the version was just trial wallahu a'alaam
so don't do that!!

You can use your iPod as a USB stick. And you can copy the material from your iPod to your iTunes without having to delete everything.

Ya Allah!!! I am about to lose my mind!!!!!

after I got my back up I didn't know what happened to my ipod!! it did'nt get recognized by the itunes and I got the message everytime I plugged it in that there is a problem on reading the ipod and I have to restore it.

So, I restored the ipod today, and tried to sync files again but it didnt work !!! and the itunes still couldnt recognize my device!

the very stupid solution I am thinking of now is making a new account and start everything from the beginning.

Do any of you have any "smarter" solutions? please!!

I found the best method is to jailbreak the ipod touch

I got one and jailbroke it

Naturally, Apple built their Iphones and pods to not be recognized by pc OR mac as a removeable disc.

So If anyone is interested in the technical side of this, go to google.com and search for "iphonebrowser" and download this software. Once you install it, you cna plug your ipod and open up this application and a browser type window will open and you can literally and manually remove and add filed as you please. However it is best to know what exactly your doing. If you don;t know what your doing, you might damage or delete an essrntial system file or component needed for the Iphone or Itouch and will damage the software aspect of the device.
