Do we have any ipod users here? Help needed plz

As-Salam 'Alaykum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuhu

I had all my audio and video files on the itunes library which I always synchronized with my ipod touch contents. The problem now is that I reinstalled the operating system in my machine again, and all the the itunes contents deleted with the software itself.

Now I need to copy the ipod files to the new itunes library contents and synchronize them again with each other.
Currently, if I synchronize them now, it will wipe out everything in my ipod

I need to add some new things to the ipod and I tried many ways provided in youtube but they all did not worked with me.

Any help?

There are a lot of videos in youtube about the way you can transfer your files from ipod to PC but first your have to recognize your ipod as an external memory when you go to my computer window so you can transfer the music folders that will be hidden there to your desktop

in my case, my PC is recognizing my ipod as Digital Camera and it only shows me the images saved in my ipod

^so more reasons to say goodbye to pc and get a mac. I don't have ipod and never used it so I have no idea. I was gonna get a free ipod with my macbook but they cheated with me and so I didn't get one.

akhee, when you get a mac, trust me you'll love it. You'll wonder like myself why did you had a pc!?

The videos I watched on youtube were working on windows and the problem solved perfectly

I am planning to get a new laptop, but it will not be mac though...thinking about Dell XPS 1330

bro. Salman. I just cant wait to switch to Mac. Like I said when you went for Mac, so I felt that there is every reason to move now! I thought Mac is only for those Western extra money guys but than I trust your choice..

So inshallah, I can only wait for a bit to get money and get rid of my dell inspiron!

^ well, inshaAllah you will find something...I fed up trying, I must took the key number of the itunes library before I reinstall the OS ): but I just read about that after I did everything.... I have a lot of video lectures saved there, can't just throw them all. On the top of that, I have the whole Quran by Sheikh Al Sudais and without any back up on my machine ):

okay, since we have mac fans here, I was checking this one few weeks ago, what do you think of it brothers?

The Apple MacBook Air.....its design was the thing that attracted me most. Have anyone used it before?

Macbook Air is simply fantastic but the only problem is that its without a CD/DVD Rom.

If you want to go for design and a wonderful OS than you should try this out :)

and I hate getting their drivers separated

Did you find any way to get our files transferred to the PC?

I was just transferring audio files from my pc via iTune to ipod which already had some podcasts so what it does is creates an additional playlists, something which I dont want as its difficult to manage many playlists in new ipod shuffle.

I transfer the audio files like this:

-Connect ipod and than open iTune (ofcourse!)
-Drag and drop the files into the Music library in the iTunes.
- Press Sync in ipod

so what it does is it creates 2 playlists or more If i do it 3rd time. So how can I manage to transfer files without creating additional playlists?

2. Is there any way transfer files without iTune?
