As the month of Ramadhan arrives and all Muslims around the world begin to observe the fast, curiosity arises amongst the non-muslims about these special days. Sometimes, our children, especially the ones living in the non-muslim countries, find it difficult to explain to their teachers and peers the importance of these holidays.

It has been written by a young girl, from the perspective of a child, and has also been illustrated by her which makes the book more appealing. The computer-illustrated pictures depict innocence and simplicity.

As the little girl explains the special holidays her family celebrates, she expresses her feelings as she observes her first fast and what it makes her realize. In addition to clarifying the issues about who is ?required? to fast, the book beautifully illustrates the concept of giving and caring which is so important in the religion of Islam, and this concept of sharing and caring takes on a whole different meaning in the Holy Month of Ramadhan.
