Wa'alaykum As-Salam

sister, the night before the Eid is the Eid night and night before that is the last night of Ramadan. Allah Ta'ala forgives people anytime whenever someone seeks forgiveness but every night of Ramadan and specially the last ten nights of Ramadan are more special.

Remember that Allah Ta'ala descends to the lowest heaven every night and "when there remains the final third of the night, and He says: Who is saying a prayer to Me that I may answer it? Who is asking something of Me that I may give it him? Who is asking forgiveness of Me that I may forgive him?" [Reported by Shaykhaeen and Imam Malik, Tirmidhi, Abu Dawud]

There're da'eef ahadith speaking of great virtue and reward if one does 'ibaddah on the night of Eid. So, we need to be aware of them.

Wallahu A'lam (and Allah knows best)
