بِسْمِ اللّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ
English Dr. Mohsin Khan: With the Name Of Allah (God), the Bestower Of Mercy, the Most Merciful.
[ 78:1 ]
عَمَّ يَتَسَاءلُونَ
English Dr. Mohsin Khan: What are they asking (one another about)?
[ 78:2 ]
عَنِ النَّبَإِ الْعَظِيمِ
English Dr. Mohsin Khan: About the great news, (i.e. Islâmic Monotheism, the Qur'ân, which Prophet Muhammad (SAW) brought and the Day of Resurrection),
[ 78:3 ]
الَّذِي هُمْ فِيهِ مُخْتَلِفُونَ
English Dr. Mohsin Khan: About which they are in disagreement.
[ 78:4 ]
كَلَّا سَيَعْلَمُونَ
English Dr. Mohsin Khan: Nay, they will come to know!
[ 78:5 ]
ثُمَّ كَلَّا سَيَعْلَمُونَ
English Dr. Mohsin Khan: Nay, again, they will come to know!
[ 78:6 ]
أَلَمْ نَجْعَلِ الْأَرْضَ مِهَادًا
English Dr. Mohsin Khan: Have We not made the earth as a bed,
[ 78:7 ]
وَالْجِبَالَ أَوْتَادًا
English Dr. Mohsin Khan: And the mountains as pegs?
[ 78:8 ]
وَخَلَقْنَاكُمْ أَزْوَاجًا
English Dr. Mohsin Khan: And We have created you in pairs (male and female, tall and short, good and bad, etc.)
[ 78:9 ]
وَجَعَلْنَا نَوْمَكُمْ سُبَاتًا
English Dr. Mohsin Khan: And We have made your sleep as a thing for rest
[ 78:10 ]
وَجَعَلْنَا اللَّيْلَ لِبَاسًا
English Dr. Mohsin Khan: And We have made the night as a covering (through its darkness),
[ 78:11 ]
وَجَعَلْنَا النَّهَارَ مَعَاشًا
English Dr. Mohsin Khan: And We have made the day for livelihood.
[ 78:12 ]
وَبَنَيْنَا فَوْقَكُمْ سَبْعًا شِدَادًا
English Dr. Mohsin Khan: And We have built above you seven strong (heavens),
[ 78:13 ]
وَجَعَلْنَا سِرَاجًا وَهَّاجًا
English Dr. Mohsin Khan: And We have made (therein) a shinning lamp (sun).
[ 78:14 ]
وَأَنزَلْنَا مِنَ الْمُعْصِرَاتِ مَاء ثَجَّاجًا
English Dr. Mohsin Khan: And We have sent down from the rainy clouds abundant water.
[ 78:15 ]
لِنُخْرِجَ بِهِ حَبًّا وَنَبَاتًا
English Dr. Mohsin Khan: That We may produce therewith corn and vegetations,
