|  Did Prophet Muhammad PBUH became Literate after revelations?  I was just reading somewhere a confusion that was Prophet  able to read or write after revelations or was he still Ummi ? Could any one please help? Thanks

Wa'alaykum As-Salam come on bro you know this topic is favourite among the kufar (non-Muslims) or the deviants and it would best fit in the refutation section; moving it there btw, what is confusing you? | Re: Did Prophet Muhammad PBUH became Literate after revelations? one of the member on multaqa said: Sister Kareema, in her tajweed book (part 3), states that scholars disagreed on whether the Prophet (salallahu alaihi wasallam) became literate after the revelation. I was astonished to read this but she stated that some scholars thought so (that he became literate). I don't agree. Still, does anyone have more information on this? She named Abdu Dhar Abd ibn Ahmad Al-Harwee, Abu Al-Fath An-Nisaaboree, and Abu Waleed Al-Baajee as those who thought that he could write after Prophethood or towards the end of his life. |

Even if they were famous that doesn't mean that we blindly follow their opinion when it is the weaker opinion. Even if we accept their opinion they said after the revelation so it doesn't help the non-muslims. Wallahu A'lam
