| Re: The Names changed by Prophet Muhammad Asalaam alaikum in the book he mentions that usually, Allah's Messenger changed a bad name to its opposite to make it good - like seen above. |

| Re: The Names of Sahaba changed by Prophet Muhammad to its opposites Yes he did. When Hadrat 'Ali named his first born son Harb, the Prophet(saws) asked him to change it. That is how Hadrat Hasan got his name. Wasalam. |

| Re: The Names of Sahaba changed by Prophet Muhammad to its opposites AsSalaamu alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barkaatuhu, I have read(from a doubtful source) that Ali RadiAllahu Anh named his first son "harb" meaning war or something similiar, but Prophet Muhammad Sallal lahu Alayhi wa Sallam changed it to "Hasan", then the Second son was again named "harb" but Ali(Radi.) but again Prophet Muhammad changed it to "Hussayn", then the third son was born and Ali(Radi.) named him "Harb" but again this time Prophet Muhammad named him "Muhsin" , this third child is said to be, passed away in his infancy. Allahu Alam, AsSalamu alaykum. |
