| :Patience is Virtue! There are roughly 200 verses in the Qur'an which focus on the concept of patience and it's referred to in many others. As Muslims we must always realize that any situation that arises in our lives, whether tragic or joyful, contains wisdom behind it. In regards to tragedies, Prophet Muhammad (sallallahu 'alayhi wasallam) said, "No doubt, patience is at the first strike of a calamity." We must strive to understand that Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala Knows what is best for us. Allah (SWT) says in the Qur'an (interpretation of the meaning): "For truly with hardship comes ease; truly with hardship comes ease"(Ash-Sharh,94:5-6) O ye who believe! Seek help in steadfastness, and prayer. Lo! Allah is with the steadfast. (Al-Baqarah, 2:153) How many times we have heard of these ayat yet we fail to remain patient on many occasions. Remaining patient is one of the biggest traits and good characteristic of a Momin and Muslim.
