| ![]() Timeline of Islamic Hidden History 600 AD - 1600 AD The Muslims of the early period of the Islamic era were pioneers in medicine, geography, navigation, arts, poetry, mathematics, algebra, logarithms, calculus, etc. They contributed to the Renaissance of Europe and world civilization. 615 Possibly the earliest hospital in Islam was a mobile dispensary following the Muslim armies, dating from the time of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). By the 12th century, the hospital had become very advanced institution. 644 The use of wind as a source of power in Muslim communities began during the reign of Caliph Umar (634 - 44). Wind-power became widely used to run mill stones for grinding corn, and also to draw up water for irrigation. 700 Under the Ummayads, Islam spread to various lands, generating considerable prosperity and wealth. In that period, the mosque developed its main structural and functional elements such as Minaret, Mihrab, Maksurah and dome. 751 Paper, originally, was brought by the Muslims from China. Form an art, the Muslims developed in into a major industry. Paper mills flourished across the Muslim world. The impact of Muslim manufacture of paper was paved the way for the printing revolution. 780 Algebra, algorithm, quadratic equation, sine function just some of the terms which would not be known for us but for Al-Khawarizmi. His works include, At-Tasrif, which contains the earliest pictures of surgical instruments in history, about 200 are described and illustrated. 1039 Snell is credited with the laws of reflection and refraction. However, Ibn Al-Haitham discovered the same phenomena in the 11th century. 1087 Salerno came to prominence as the first faculty-University of the Christian west because of its importance as a center where Islamic science, particularly medicine became known to Europe 1174 1000 years ago the most famous mechanical engineer of his time was Al-Jazari. Read about his water clocks, washing machines and pumps. 1210 Sir William Harvey is wrongly credited with the modern theory of Pulmonary Circulation. Ibn Al-Naphis, an Arab physician of the 13th century, explained the basic principles of Pulmonary Circulation nearly 350 years before Harvey was born. 1332 Ibn-Khaldun enters the frame of Islamic scholarship, associating both intellectual might and near perfect organizational skills to set the foundations for our modern social, economic, historical and political science. 1371 Retrace the root of Chinas 15th century admiral, Zheng He, who ranks as perhaps the country's foremost adventurer. A Muslim and a warrior, Zheng He helped transform China into the regions and perhaps the worlds, superpower of his time. 1420 Kevin Krisciunas writes on the legacy of Ulugh Beg. Although he recognising crucial role of Islamic observation, he still finds the sources of disagreement with the nation that the Samarqand observatory exerted decisive influence on Europe. 1513 Piri Reis presented his famous map of the New World to the Sultan, giving the ottomans, well before many European rulers, an accurate description of the American discoveries as well as details about the circumnavigation of Africa. 1606 Commissioned by Sultan Ahmed (1606-1617), the mosque was built by Mehmet Agha who is said to have toured key Ottoman monuments before he drew the plan of the blue mosque. | JazakAllah sister for sharing! I am very glad to know all this , its important in this era of ours when the pen of history is with the corrupt nations and they are re-writing the history. Indeed Muslims made great advancements in many aspects of social and technological sciences!
