Exclamation debate with semi sufies or tareeqa people

Insha allah on coming Sunday there will be a debate between salaf vs sufi scholars (the multaqa ahl al hadeeth tamil forum mod Mujahid Bin Razeen also a debater in salaf )

its mainly about strictly following shafi madhab and the books written by sufis , mawleed, prophets birthday, grave worship, asking dua from awliyaa like topics

he asked me to get some supported materials(ARABIC and ENGLISH) from the web I think this is the very correct place and please brothers and sisters provide some use full informations on refuting sufis (arguments, refutation etc..)

PS: In srilanka ~40% of muslim population follow tareeqa

Selam aleykum
In my humble opinion, it's best not to look for complicated stuff and very specific references. The best source for such a debate is a book about the basis of tawhid. Such books usually mention many forms of shirk which are commonplace among sufi's. This is obviously also the most important issue; so it's best to stick with that, and not to indulge to much in other subjects when debating with sufi's. Of course not all sufi's are alike. There's even shia and sunni sufi's. And while all different sufi's share some charesteristics, they also differ on various issues.

And with sufi's, more then with any other group it's very important to have some notions of the following fallacies:
Logical Fallacies

Because their arguments tend to be emotive and mystic, rather then rational and logic. So it helps if one can point out exactly why such an argument is flawed.
