Default Should the QURAN be Burned?

Dear brothers and sisters I have a question:

I came across some video and head that if the quran is too old it shoud or can be burned.
Is this true???
The guy said also that we can find it in the Quran(means that the burning of an old Quran is permissible).
I am confused now.........
Please if some one can explain this,if it is true!

Thanks!
:wasalam:

Wa'alykum As-Salam brother

as far as I know, there is nothing wrong in burning the old mushaf of the Qur'an. It is well known that 'Uthman (radiallahu anho - May Allah be pleased with him) burned all the other mushaf that people had and gave the mushaf which he orderd to compile during his khilafah.

Sahih Al-Bukhari: Volume 6, Book 61, Number 510

"They did so, and when they had written many copies, 'Uthman returned the original manuscripts to Hafsa. 'Uthman sent to every Muslim province one copy of what they had copied, and ordered that all the other Qur'anic materials, whether written in fragmentary manuscripts or whole copies, be burnt."
