How to deal with people who judge Islam by its followes?

As-Salam 'Alaykum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuhu

The majority of the world is judging Islam by its bad followers, how we can clarify things to them?

In most cases they got brainwashed by their media and only see the bad followers forgetting about those who are following the right way of Islam.

Even when we try to convince them to go and read the Quran or Sunnah to get the right facts they always can't get rid of that bad image of Islam they have in their minds.

1) they will continue thinking of us like that.

2) your duty is only to convey the message. if they don't accept what you say, that's their problem.

3) you continue providing evidences, and evidences of the religion are more powerful than some actions of people. tell them this, if they have a closed mind [refer to no.2]

Selam aleykum
Sometimes to make their error clear, I illustrate by analogy of lovers:
Sometimes, when a relation goes sour, the ex can stalk and heras his/her ex-partner. usually people who do this claim that they do so out of "love". In some cases it has even lead to murder. however, just because these people claim to act out of love; nobody in his right mind will conclude that love is bad. That's because everybody is familiar with love. People know that just because the stalker claims it is done out of love, doesn't mean that this is indeed his true motivator. People somewhat understand teh stalker has confused hate with love.
However since people are unfamiliar with Islam, they fail to make that same deduction, and thus those people accept that those who do bad things in the name of Islam, are genuinly acting out what Islam guides them to do.

I've found most people accept that illustration, and understand their error trough it.

Its a fact of life. Stereotypes,even if people know it's not true they just seem to enjoy making fun of it as if Islam was a joke. Just pray for the best from Allaaah.
