> DAWAH oN tHE RUN: On the Bus & Train

Assalamu 'Alaikum WB,

Lately I've been working on a sort of "script" to give Dawah while in the public while travelling.
Every school day I travel for over an hour on the train back & forth & have been doing so for the last one & half years.
During this time I've seen quite a lot of people on the train which look depressed & lost...who I really feel could do with Islam...& sometimes really feel the urge to let them know about Islam.

Then a few months ago I went to a Dawah Technique Course held by Al-Kauthar by Brother Kamal El-Mekki, & he was saying how you can give indirect Dawah over the phone...

So I thought 'hmm...that sounds brilliant!'
So heres the product of the idea: A 6-page script which I will read out ... how?

On my phone I put an alarm sounding like a ringtone two minutes later. Then when it rings it will sound like a phone-call, so I'll pick it up.
I'll then pretend to talk to an 'atheist guy'...proving to him the existence of Allah & the truth of Islam

I've put what I've made below [ this is kinda messy, if you want the MS Word version, give me buzz & I'll email it to you :) ]

This is my first edition lol, many more edits & improvements will most likely be made, as I how see how people react & if i get new ideas etc.

I think we realize that all those people out there are gonna Burn & Blaze in the Fire of Jahannam...
And I thought this would be a good way rather than spending that time looking out the window why not try & invite to the Way of your Lord!

Hey what’s up. Everything alright? Yeah I’m good, what ‘bout you? Cool (pause)…You ringed coz…?

Ahh yesss, I remember perfectly... how you wanted to talk about the Purpose of Life, the existence of God & Islam.

Yes? Alright well let’s get straight into it coz I can’t talk for that long (pause)… Okay… so now what IS the purpose of life

according to you? (pse)… nothing, no purpose? So you think we are here for no reason at all? So we’re on this earth just to eat

and sleep and dress and work, enjoy ourselves for a few moments, & then simply die? ...Ok well think about this: look around

you; you’ll observe every single thing, every action has a purpose; if I ask you the purpose of eating, you’ll tell me it is to gain

nutrition & energy, yes? If I ask you what is the purpose of education, you’ll tell me it’s to secure one’s future right? Imagine

going to school for 12 years for no reason! So education has a purpose. The purpose of your eyes: is to see. The purpose of

your ears is to: hear, the purpose of your teeth is to mechanically break down food. The purpose of a pen: is to write. So

everything in this world, big or small has a purpose. So NOW, when we come to the question what is the purpose of life…the

greatest thing you posses; the most important thing on this earth…a human life; HOW can you say it has ‘no purpose’? Tell

me… how did this tremendous universe come into being? (pse)… coincidence you say? So your telling me this WHOLE

TREMENDOUS UNIVERSE came about by chance? So this magnificent earth with ALL its complexities, the incredible & diverse

array of intricate plants & creatures, the breathtaking science in every single object in nature, the precision & calculated law

every object of nature follows, the earth and its continuous orbit around the sun: all this came by chance? All from a random

big-bang? Think about the sun itself; one of more than 100 Billion stars in this galaxy... how the outer layers of the Sun exhibit

differential rotation: at the equator, how the surface rotates once every 25.4 days... how each second about 700 MILLION

tons of hydrogen are converted to about 695 MILLION tons of helium. Such precision & calculation just happened to come by

chance??...

Well then let’s put chance to a simple test: take 10 marbles; number them 1 to 10; put them in a bag. Now take out each

marble in order from 1 to 10. Could you do that? Do you know what the chances are of doing that? Your chances are 1 in 26

MILLION. And this is just something within the capacity of the human being, what then is the chance of the heavens & the

earth coming together as they are?

NO my friend, the truth is that everything has been CREATED, by a tremendously powerful Force; the Creator, call Him God, call

Him the Source of Energy, we call Him Allah, which means God in Arabic; the name isn’t really that important. He revealed the

Holy Qur’an, the Final Revelation sent to mankind. And I’d like to mention a few verses from the Qur’an where God All-Mighty

addresses this subject about the purpose of life. In the 3rd Chapter of the Qur’an He says, “Verily! In the creation of the

heavens and the earth, and in the alternation of night and day, there are indeed signs for men of understanding. Those who

remember God, and think deeply about the creation of the heavens and the earth, (saying): "Our Lord! You have not created

(all) this without purpose, Glory be to You! Give us salvation from the penalty of the Fire.” So here in these verses the Creator

draws our attention to the creation of the heavens and the earth, the alternation of the night and the day. He calls our

attention to their creation and their precision, and mentions those who contemplate the Wonders of Creation, realize that this

cannot be created for a FOOLISH purpose. So what is this purpose then? This purpose… the PURPOSE of a human being’s life is

to acknowledge, obey & worship the All-Mighty Creator…So what do you say? Does that sound reasonable? Can you accept

that? (pse)…yeah?! Great! Ok that’s great let’s now move on to Islam…I’ll only go through it briefly, coz I can go on for

ages….but before I start I want you to get rid of all the prejudices you might have, get rid of all the thoughts & images the

media bombards you with…coz Islam is not what you think it to be. So let’s first define the word ‘Islam’, what

does it mean? It derives its root from the word ‘salama’ meaning ‘peace’ (pse)…yeah, can you believe it! It comes from the

word peace! It’s not a religion of terror…man you can’t judge a whole golden faith of 1.5 BILLION people spanning for over 1400

years by the actions of a few misguided; terrorism has no place in Islam: the words “Islamic Terrorist”, “Islamic fanatic” are

oxymorons, do you know what that is? It’s when two words which have completely opposite meanings are put together. So

now Islam is about submitting to the will of the Creator; therefore a ‘Muslim’ is one who submits & obeys the law of God

All-Mighty. Islam is the religion sent down by the Creator from the beginning of time, all the Prophets of God were sent with the

message of Islam, which is to acknowledge that there is none worthy of worship except God & to acknowledge the Prophet of

their time. That there is only ONE GOD, One Creator; this message of Islam was the message of Noah, Abraham, Moses, Jesus,

John the Baptist, Muhammad & all the other Prophets of God throughout history, peace be upon all of them. Their message was

clear; do not worship other deities. Muslims believe in Jesus & his miraculous birth, his virgin mother Mary; in fact there’s a

whole Chapter dedicated & named after Mary (peace be upon her) in the Holy Qur’an. But we do not believe Jesus was God, nor

the son of God, nor part of a trinity with God, God All-Mighty the Lord of the heavens & the earth is above such associations.

(pse)… Oh, you were brought up a Christian? Well what happened? (Pse)... Didn’t make much sense? Yeah I’ve seen quite a lot

of atheists who used to be Christians but abandoned the faith due to its inconsistencies, contradictions etc. but anyway let’s

get back to Islam. So how can I prove that Islam is the truth; what evidences are there? You see, unlike other religions Islam is

not just about faith but it’s also about proof. There are so many evidences, I can just go on & on, but I’ll just mention a few.
Muslims believe Muhammad (Pbuh) was the last Prophet of God; now how can I prove that. Well firstly God gave Muhammad

many miracles, just like Jesus when he cured the blind & brought the dead back to life, God also gave Muhammad (pbuh)

miracles, for instance he split the moon, brought forth water between his fingers, healed the sick, but I don’t want to focus on

these miracles. Let’s talk about the miracle which is still present, here with us right now; in fact which is in my pocket.

(pse)…Yep & this is the Holy Qur’an the Final Revelation sent down by God to humanity. (pse)… Yeah so what’s so miraculous

about a Book? Well let’s get into that; the Qur’an is Revelation, the Words of God sent to Prophet Muhammad through the Angel

Gabriel, over a period of 23 years in the Arabic language. One of its miracles is its inimitability; meaning nothing of its like can

ever be produced. Allah; God challenges mankind in the 2nd Chapter saying: “And if you are in doubt concerning that which We

have sent down to Our slave (Muhammad), then produce a Chapter of the like thereof and call your witnesses besides Allâh, if

you are truthful. But if you do it not, and you can NEVER do it, then fear the Fire (Hell) whose fuel is men and stones, prepared

for the disbelievers.” So here God makes it very clear: if you think the Qur’an is not the Product of God then produce, MAKE a

Chapter similar to it! And if you CANNOT DO IT, & you can NEVER DO IT [look at that sheer confidence] then FEAR THE FIRE of

HELL which is prepared if you disbelieve & reject Islam. And I’ll tell you right now, since its Revelation over 1400 years ago not

a SINGLE person has been able to produce a SINGLE Chapter like that of the Glorious Qur’an. Why not? Because of its incredible

content, wise legislation, clear answers about the mysteries of life, our beginning, our Creation, it describes the true details of

Jesus’s life; it tells of the Great Events to come after death; this is THE Book. I’d strongly recommend you to read it; go on the

internet & type in Google: “The Qur’an”: Q-u-r-a-n, you can read English translations online, or even better get your own copy

through ebay or go to an Islamic Bookstore; there’s a few in Lakemba. Read the Book, at least once before you die. Other

miracles of the Qur’an include the numerous scientific miracles contained within it; the Qur’an mentions astonishing facts about

Science which we have only recently come to know with the help of advanced technology. For instance in the 51st Chapter of

the Qur’an God says, "And it is We who have constructed the heaven with might, and verily, it is We who are steadily

expanding it." (Ch 51: V47). In this verse it reveals the fact that God created the heaven: the universe & He is steadily

expanding it. This fact that the universe is expanding was only discovered in 1929 with the use of a telescope by Edwin Hubble

when he observed that the stars and galaxies were constantly moving away from each other. But in the Qur’an this fact was

mentioned around 1400 years prior to this discovery. So ask yourself, if you claim the Qur’an is not the word of God, but the

words of a mere man; Muhammad. HOW could Muhammad know this? Muhammad was a man who lived in the desert during the

7th century; there were no telescopes or anything of the sort. The only rational conclusion can be that this Qur’an is a DIVINE

INSPIRATION from the All-Knowing Creator. This is only ONE Scientific Miracle of the Qur’an, I can mention at least another

SIXTY more amazing such facts but it’s not really feasible over the phone. I’ll tell you what, go on Google & type in ‘Scientific

Miracles of the Qur’an’ [Q-u-r-a-n] & click the first link: it’s an excellent site which not only discusses the miracles of Science

but also goes through the Prophecies, amazing Historical facts, Mathematical Miracles & other things contained in the Qur’an.

(Pse)…Prophet Muhammad? Yeah well, the best thing would be to go on the net & punch in ‘Muhammad’, there are hundreds of

websites out there; read about his incredible life; he was simply the most amazing man & if you read his biography objectively,

you can’t help but admire & love him. Do you know what’s the most common name in the world? Yep it’s Muhammad. Why’s

that? Because of they love him so much that they wanna name all their children after him. His character was embedded with

mercy & forgiveness, he never uttered a lie in his life, even prior to his Prophethood he was known for his outstanding morals &

honesty, he never refused the beggar, he lived the simplest of lives, he was the most pious of people: this was Muhammad the

last Prophet of God sent to mankind (pbuh)…

So yeah, this is basically a very, very brief rundown of Islam, one could talk about it for hours & hours. I’d highly recommend

you to learn more about it, research it more, coz Islam is in the news so often these days, but almost always for the wrong

reasons. Not many people know about the amazing & astonishing aspects of this great religion. You know in America after 9/11

around 40,000 people have been converting to Islam annually. Can you believe that? Why…coz they found out Islam is so much

different to what they thought it to be. So yeah that’s about it…if there’s anything else you wanna know, e-mail me on

Ahh…I’m glad you asked, well this is a very broad topic, but I might as well skim over it, as it’s so crucial. Well firstly we all

know that DEATH is INEVITABLE; we cannot ESCAPE IT, but it’s funny isn’t it how we all try & avoid this fact of life. God says

in the Qur’an “The mutual RIVALRY for PILING UP of worldly things diverts you.” You are BUSY CALCULATING, DEVELOPING YOUR

CAREERS, your MONEY, your WEALTH. “Until… you visit the GRAVES… nay you shall come to know.” Death is not the END, it is

the beginning of the most SERIOUS journey. As soon as you die the whole world of the Unseen will be revealed… the Angel of

Death will come & take out your soul; if you disbelieved & rejected Islam it will come in the most HORRIFYING form & pull your

soul out with great violence, but if you believed & did righteous deeds then it will come in a beautiful form…then in your grave,

depending on your actions of this life will either have a window to Paradise or one to Hell-Fire. It may seem hard to believe

now, but picture the moment you will die, do you really think everything will just come to an END?... No it cannot be, our

existence is not for such a futile purpose…then after a certain period of time the RESURRECTION will take place… the Day when

God All-Mighty will resurrect every single human being, from the FIRST to the LAST, every man will once again be brought back

to life.. You may DOUBT it, you may DENY it; but Allah says in the Qur’an it is EASY for Him. God says, “DOES MAN THINK THAT

WE CANNOT ASSEMBLE HIS BONES? YES, WE ARE ABLE TO PUT TOGETHER IN PERFECT ORDER THE VERY TIPS OF HIS

FINGERS!” In another place God also refers to the barren earth when He sends down rain upon it, & then it comes back to life

by producing vegetation. Hence if God can give life to the dead earth then bringing US humans back to life isn’t much harder for

Him. It will be a TERRIFYING Day; the order of the universe will change, the sky will cleft asunder, the stars will be falling, the

moon will be eclipsed; this is the Day of JUDGMENT; where every person will be judged & be lead to their eternal destination.

Justice will be served on this Day; everyone shall get what they deserve. The occurrence of the Day of

Judgment is commonsense; think about a person like Hitler who incinerated around 6 MILLION PEOPLE: now how can you

possibly serve justice in this worldly life to a man like Hitler? What’s the worst you can do to him? Kill him? What about the 5

MILLION 999 THOUSAND 999 OTHER PEOPLE? You can never mete out the justice he deserves in this world. THAT’S WHY there

MUST be another life, where true justice can be served. How will Allah mete out justice with people like Hitler? Allah says in the

Qur’an: “Surely! Those who disbelieved in Our Signs, We shall burn them in Fire. As often as their skins are roasted through, We

shall change them for other skins that they may taste the punishment. Truly, Allâh is Ever Most Powerful, All-Wise.” So Allah

will subject them to a continuous process of roasting in the Fire of Hell; once their skin is roasted over once, fresh skin will

appear to roast again, & thus will continue & go on & on forever… this will be the punishment if you disbelieve my friend…its SO

SERIOUS… the Fire which is 70 TIMES HOTTER than any fire of this earth, boiling water & branches of thorn for food &

drink…how can you RISK it? On the other hand…if you believe in God & His Messenger Muhammad then your abode

will the Paradise of Delight; with its beautiful flowing rivers, huge mansions made of gold & silver, whatever food you desire,

beautiful maidens of perpetual beauty…& the best thing… it will last FOREVER & ever… no sleep, no toilet, no appointments, no

work… what a life! All this might seem hard to believe, but its all the World of the Unseen, which will all be revealed at the

moment of death…

All I can say now is, go home & research Islam for yourself; if you deny & reject it, then the loss is only yours; my job is only to

deliver the message. I’m not here to convert you… I’ve told you about the consequences & rewards of your actions. But I’ll tell

you one thing, the peace of mind Islam brings you; submitting to the All-Mighty, you won’t find it anywhere else. Aren’t you

tired? Tired of chasing the materials of this life…tired of piling up your bank account…tired of the deceit & injustice of people?

Don’t you need that light to fill your life? Well the light is here, Islam is here… waiting at your doorstep… (Pse)…How do you

become a Muslim? Well that’s simple, coz you see everyone of us when we were born, was born a Muslim. Innocent, pure &

without sin, there’s no such thing as original sin in Islam, & then its peoples parents which make them whatever they turn out

to be. That’s why when a person wants to become a Muslim they’re actually reverting back to Islam; anyway to become a

Muslim you have to make a declaration which is: ‘There is no god but Allah, & Muhammad is His Messenger’ : the key to
