You know, just so I get this cleared out. I said I read, actually all fatawa on that same topic, I understood and this is why this particular fatwa was disturbing becomes there could be somewhere someone who reads only that one fatwa and takes it seriously (the part I talked about). That was the only issue with this particular fatwa I had. OK good, all cleared now.

Fakr al-Islam said: Indeed there is a “verified narration” from Abu Yusuf relating that verily Abu Yusuf said:

I debated with Abu Hanifa about the createdness of the Qur’an and he agreed with my opinion that that he who says the Qur’an is created is a disbeliever.

It has also been established that this is the opinion of Muhammad [ibn hasan] [pg 95 Dar Bash'ir]

This goes to show that all humans are searching for the truth and may err along the way, but it is Allah that guides us towards the truth if we are sincere... This in NO WAY belittles imam abu hanifa as i love him sincerely i would never wish to do that ! It shows how humble he is, that he takes the opinion of his student! May Allah have mercy on him rahimahullah ta'ala !It is also noted that he use to love being corrected by his students and love to discuss with them! so the above should be a form of praise for imam abu hanifa rahimahullah !
