He told me that some people say three ladies were rapped by some men at this place so later on people build the mazaar at that place and call it, "the tomb of lady chaste". It is nothing but jahliyyah and sufi teachings further misguide these people.

| Re: Shirk by Barelwis/Sufis - Prostrating at grave I see all this happening at a daily basis... and my relatives are also involved in it......sheesh.... i see women coming to this grave and asking for children... even non muslims come and ask...and on top of that there are people attached to the masjid barelvi their muftis and all and they tell people that its permissible...they even say its mean of salvation.... they kind of direct people out here... i really want to stand against it for the sake of allah... but my nafs,my wrong deeds and satan gets the better of it... sob sob i sometimes feel like leveling the grave by allahs permission....And i belong to the family of mujawar(caretaker of the tomb) sheesh... they say if u dont believe in all this leave all ur property and go away.... there is a story about this grave just next to my house.. They say that there was a king a peshwa who was arrogant and all ....but this holy person...Hazrat Yasin Mastan... made his whole army and himself bow down so he gave away some of his land as a gift to him... and his (Yasin mastan's ) student is somewhat related to grandmother from my dad's side... so we inherited the land and property.... so they say in order to show ur gratitude u should take care of them... do niaz and all... because if it was not for them you wont have all this... They say Allah gives everything thru someone,and allah blesses us thru them...all crap... So just make dua that Allah guides us and keeps us on the truth and gives us death as muslims...and to make me and others stand against baatil only for the sake of The Most Gracious...ameen!! |

Islam is simple, it's people that make it complicated. We don't need sacred tombs or crap like that.....is it not easier to just ask Allah(swt) for help instead of all these idols? Someone needs to ask these people that Question. Salam a leikum

They visit 'Kramat', prostrating at grave, wear amulets or taweez, etc. Maybe the only different is in fiqh. If Barelwis are Hanafi, Indonesian Traditionalist Muslims are Shafi'i. |
