akhee, I first posted this thread in admin/mod section to get together all the staff and get moving with our objectives, but then I moved it here to get everyone's attention. Also, this was posted before we officially initiated the iDawah project.

Allhamdulillah, our aim is to lanch an onslaught attack on falsehood. khayr, the objective of this thread is layout projects, which we need to work on, and teams management (tasks assignments) and such. Advertisement of the website is one of them. We need volunteers and get more people involved. Hence, advertisement should go hand in hand with our projects (as they progress).

insha'Allah, I'll be handling the organizing teams part, beside the other tasks.

yes, we definietly need translators. As far akhee Abu Najm, maybe sister ayah can work with him on finding Arabic texts and translating, insha'Allah. Do you have anyone else on your mind for this task?

As far brother Bassam, I know he is busy, and I'll try to have a talk with him. He should help out with whatever he can, and be more active here, insha'Allah. As far being active here, same goes for you, lol.

I think we would need brothers/sisters who have command at fiqh and science of hadith. What do you think?

we can even make it an initiative to others by saying we'll advertise their site if it gets famous..

yeah, salamz from multaqa and i already spoke with fahim sensai and i might approach farid al-khajah. fahim said he wil help with what he can.

that is a no brainer. But one thing I learned from this akhee. It is almost like the saying "If you want something done, you gotta do it yourself"

Why is this. This work is based on you doing what you have to do, and everythng else falls in place. learn the fiqh, leanr the aqeedah and other matters. research, do the work yourself, annd inshalah additions here and there will come.

this is very good idea and this is what I was talking about when I mentioned that we should advertise along the progress of our project. The incentive of advertising their website is also a good idea.

I'll post an advertising "memo" tomorrow and then we can post it on other Islamic forums.

well, i tried to speak with Abu Maryam before. however, he is focused on the IA. Although he is unlike them, the fact that he witnessed my reaction to those guys was kind of a turn off. I appraocherd him during the revisionism and modernism thread, the same thread where this guy justabro tried to claim that salafis are of the same manhaj as the liberal progressive modernists.

if you wish to approach bilaal, tell him whats up and then tell him that it was a project that al-boriqee was trying to employ in the onslought of the liberal modernists and hidden secularist, because he is in a situation where he was to fight them, but does not know where to start. thell him this is where you start

akhee we know that but there are still works out there, which have not been refuted, and some of Muslim responses need improvement. So for that we would need to refer to classical works of previous scholars and it would be great to have a good translation team. khayr, we'll see how things play out, insha'Allah

Allah Subhaanahu wa Ta'ala says in His Book: "Truth has come and Batil has vanished. Surely! Batil is ever bound to vanish" [Surah al-Isra (17): 82 - interpretation of the meaning]

Islamic-Life is a website dedicated to compiling a dawah database for Muslims and non-Muslims. Our objective is to cover all Islamic topics and have it available for readers at one place, insha'Allah. We've also started working on making the ahadith available in Arabic and English (side by side) - mainly the well known collections. The part which stands out from whole project is an onslaught attack on falsehood (Islamophobes, modernists, deviant Muslim sects, etc.). We'll be using a different approach than what you've already seen. The style, and presentation of Islamic response to falsehood is purely based on traditional understanding of Islam; our aim is tackle their arguments while exposing the core of their methodology. In other words, it is a pure Sunni response based on tawheed.

At the moment, we have initiated the first phase of our project and that is compiling the best arguments in very short responses for easy access for Muslims to answer falsehood, and non-Muslims can also refer to it to learn about Islamic misconceptions. We have labeled it as "iDawah Database - Refutations Compilation". This is a unique and something never seen before. More details can be found here and for current progress you may refer to iDawah database Responses & Brainstorming. The second phase of the project is to compile, and write long responses, which will be linked to short responses so that readers may refer to them to learn more.

We are in need of various kinds of help from our Muslim brothers and sisters. Currently we lack man-power and it is hurting the progress of our project. Hence, we're advertising our project to recruit more members, and let people know what we are doing. We ask brothers and sisters, who can help, to please join us in this noble effort to spread the teachings of Islam. Allah Subhaanhu wa Ta'ala says in the Qur'an (interpretation of the meaning): "Invite (all) to the way of thy Lord with wisdom and beautiful preaching; and argue with them in ways that are best and most gracious: for thy Lord knoweth, best who have strayed from His Path, and who receive guidance" [16:125] and "Let there arise out of you a band of people inviting to all that is good, enjoining what is right, and forbidding what is wrong: Such are they who are successful" [3:110].

The whole project is divided into two parts: gathering and compiling; a) gathering the resources or the already written responses and b) polishing the old responses, writing new ones and editing

If you want to help us with the part b) then you have to be athree/salafi/hanabli in aqeedah because the way of the Salaf is the key to refute falsehood. Moreover, our project inlcudes the refutations to those who devitaed from the way of the Salaf.

We have categorized responses to falsehood as:

1. Islam vs no religion (atheism, agnosticism, etc.)
2. Islam vs other religions (Christianity, Judaism, Hinduism, Buddhism, Sikhism, etc.)
3. Islam vs secularism (modernists, liberal humanists, west, etc.)
4. Ahlus Sunnah vs deviant sects (shia, sufis, ash'aris, jahmis, maturidis, mu'tazilis, qadyanis, etc.)

So if you have any background in one of the areas, please come out and help with gathering or compiling the responses.

There are many other ways you can help us with:

1. spread the word by telling other people, adding links to Islamic-Life in your email/forum signature.
2. frequently visit the website and/or register on forum to improve website's visibility on internet (i.e., search engines)
3. if you have an Islamic blog/website or you know a friend who has this then please add a link to our website. You can also request us to link back to your or your friends' blog/website
4. help us with advertising and promo videos

Lastly, we would want to remind everyone that we want to keep our intentions clean and pure: solely to please Allah 'Azza wa Jal.

InshaAllah we are resuming working on IL projects after Ramadan and we will start on compiling responses to Atheists questions into articles. InshaAllah I will be leading this project and assign tasks to everyone involved. I hope everyone is okay with that.



1. Who are the team members?

2. What exactly this project is all about?

1. We will work on the topics that were listed on this link and we will summarize them as articles instead of just threads. More like getting the points that were discussed on threads and compile them to articles. You are free to add from any other sources if you need some more information to add.

2. Brother Salman suggested that we have two versions of articles for each topic, a short & concise version and a longer version. The longer version will be linked in shorter version if anyone wants to read more and I think its a good idea.

3. Articles will be posted here inshaAllah "on time"

3. How we will work on this project?

First, every person will chose a topic. Then, we (as group) will brainstorm questions related to the chosen topics that everyone will chose, so each person will have a clear view of what s/he will write about.

Each person will be responsible for one topic. S/he will have to decide how many days s/he will need to finish the topic "according to his/her ability". I will expect everyone to be accurate and submit their tasks on time.

We might have some topics that will need more effort than others, so I think it will be better to assign two members for such topics.



Now let me know if anyone else have more suggestions or questions about the workflow we will follow inshaAllah. If I didn't get any suggestions, questions for 3 days then I will assume that everyone agreed on what I stated above hence we will start on choosing topics and brainstorming the week after Eid inshaAllah.
