Lightbulb Dawah project in West London

Assalamualaukum wa rahmatullah wa barkatuhu

I hope everyones well in both health and eeman. Just recently A group of sisters and I came up with an idea, an original idea I hope, cos I haven't heard of one like it before in London. We came up with an idea for a service for reverts or anyone who has newly started practicing and are having a hard time. This service would specialise in educating people that are new to islam on the basics of Islam, and providing a 'buddy' for each revert brother/sister, this buddy will keep in touch with the revert brother/sister and help them in their first steps into islam. I dont think that as a community we have taken care of our new muslim brothers/sisters very well, many brothers/sisters that come into islam either slack on their duties as Muslims or drift into sufism or little groups... I really think there is a need for a service that provides support and authentic info for brothers/sisters new to the deen. I just wanted to know if there were any brothers and sisters, that will be available this summer and would be able to help out on this dawah project for the sake of Allah.

Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu

Im sure many brothers and sisters would be willing to help out with this, im sure even giving a mobile phone number for a revert to contact us would be helpful. I was wondering how many people you have at the moment and if you know many reverts who are looking for this kind of help?

as far as im aware most reverts attend the masajid and find support, wallahu a'lam i could be wrong...

Commentary: The opinion of the Companions of the Prophet (PBUH) was based on the information contained in the Ahadith which have been mentioned above. They did not take the Ahadith which interpreted the leaving of Salat as Kufr mere scolding or reproof. They considered slackness and negligence in Salat as Kufr and apostasy and regarded Salat a symbol of Islam.

AsalamuAlaykum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh,

JazakiAllahu khair for letting us know,

Unfortunately bro. IbnAbd'Hakim, some reverts take information from word of mouth which can ultimately change the religion they are practicing,

Allahu alim, I am not from London though.

Wa Alaikum Ussalam

subhanAllah, i may have misunderstood. So the help is for reverts who get the wrong idea, maybe fall into a sect of islam or learn from the wrong people?

I never thought of it like that, subhanAllah may Allah grant us 'ilm, i hope to gain enough knowledge to support such a project.

To help out such reverts we need a firm knowledge and understanding of Aqeedah, we should strive to attain this as soon as possible

Subhanallah, what a great idea. I was wondering if this is going to run throughout the year or is it just for the summer? I am not in London but if it is possible for me to help and contribute in a couple of months? I will be more than willing insh'allah.

Jazakallah khair

This service is for all reverts or newly practicing Muslims... basically new muslims. We are focusing on basic education for new Muslims. Teaching them the basics like wudu salah, aqeedah etc. All the lessons would only be the basics, when they have that basic knowledge then they can build on it themselves and can attend halaqas and courses like the other Muslims. We will also designate each new brother/sister a buddy that they can hang out with and call when they have a problem or difficulty. We are planning to make a website for this aswell inshallah. Now we just need as many volunteers as possible. This project is not just for the summer, it is ongoing, it's just being launched in the summer inshallah. We're not lacking in sister volunteers, we're just lacking brothers that are willing to support this project (as usual :D).

Summer Job with high salary

Summer Job with High Salary

Exams have just finished, the long summer stretches ahead of you. We all know that feeling. But we are offering you the opportunity of a life time, we are offering you the chance to invest your time and effort in a way that is pleasing to your Lord, you are guaranteed a six figure salary of ajer bi?ithnillah.

Still not interested???

A project is being launched this summer, a group of brothers and sisters have seen a problem in our community and have come up with a solution. People have been entering the deen of Haqq in masses. If we were to count the shahadas taken in London alone, the count would be in its thousands, but we are so intent on converting many to Islam that we forget the quality of these conversions. What have we done to support our new brothers and sisters into the deen? We find that when people accept Islam and that initial eman rush has faded away, some either slack on their duties as a Muslim or drift into Sufism or other little groups. This is why there is a need for a service that provides authentic info and support for brothers and sisters new to the deen. Our project will focus on educating new muslims on the basic duties of every Muslim and providing a ?buddy? for each new brother and sister. As the project is still in its initial stages, we need a lot of support from the community and brothers and sisters who are willing to give their time and effort for the sake of Allah.

If you are still not sure, then ask yourself?.

What have I done for Islam?

You know the answer to that question

If you want to volunteer for this project send an email to:

islameducation@hotmail.com

Include your name, age, gender and location.
