Assalamu 'Alaikum WB,

Lately me & my father have been working on a Dawah Pamphlet for non-Muslims addressing the question of 'The Purpose of Life' & about Islam.

This is what we've done so far (a draft)... just looking for some ideas for the part about Islam...

Any input will be appreciated, may Allah reward you

What is the Purpose of LIFE??????

What is the Purpose of LIFE? Have you ever asked yourself this question?

Is it simply to sleep & eat & drink, go to work each day, watch the latest football match, keep up with the latest fashion trends, pile up our bank accounts?

Is this our purpose in life?

Have you ever thought?

WHY am I here?

WHERE did I come from?

WHERE will I go after death?

What is the object of my existence?

Are these not some questions worthwhile to ponder over?

If we were to observe every action or object in this world we would come to the conclusion that everything has a distinct purpose. For instance, if one was asked "What is the purpose of eating?" They would reply "It is to gain nutrition in order to survive." If one was asked "What is the purpose of working?" They would reply "It is required in order to keep my life running."

If one was to observe the human body, they would see that every body part & organ has a purpose. For instance, the purpose of ones eyes: is to see. The purpose of ones nose: is to smell.

You will not find a single organ, body part or even a cell which does not have a specified purpose. So if a minute cell has a specified purpose then what about a life of a human being! How can it have no purpose!

Have you ever thought?

How this Tremendous Universe came into being?

The thousands of galaxies, cosmos & celestial bodies in the outer universe?all in order, perfection & harmonious equilibrium?

The earth with its incredible array of complex organisms, wildlife, plants, marine life?

The earth & its flawless alternation of night & day, the PRECISE positioning of the sun, how if it was even one metre back from where it was, we would instantly freeze, or if it was even one metre forward from where it was we would instantly roast?

HOW did all this perfection come into being?

Did all of this synchronization, balance, variation, design, maintenance, operation, infinite numeration happen all by chance?

Consider This?

If you were to walk in the middle of a barren desert, & just happened to come across a rather intricate watch? would you ever suppose it appeared somehow by chance? That the wind & sand-dunes somehow shaped this small, yet complex mechanism?

No of course you wouldn't.

Your immediate reaction would be to think about the designer or maker of the watch.

Well now consider the Superb Orchestration which surrounds you & works ceaselessly in pin-point perfection, could all this really have been a result of mere chance?

Rationale begs the question: Is there not a Designer?a Maker?a Constructor of this Vast Panorama that we observe?

Yes indeed. If you are really honest with yourself, you will come to this rational conclusion.

So now if there is a Creator?then what?

Islam With the Clear Answers

Perplexing as this may sound to one living in the West, one who carries out an objective study about Islam will be quite astonished to know about the facts about Islam.

Not what the media bombards one with?

For Instance, did you know?

That Islam is the fastest growing religion in the World?

That Muslims believe in all the Prophets of the Creator, including Noah, Abraham, Moses & Jesus?

That they revere Jesus & his mother Mary in the highest regard?

That their Holy Book: The Qur'an, has remain UNCHANGED to the dot since its Revelation 1400 years ago? That there is only ONE 'Version' all across the world?

That In the USA around 40 000 people are converting to Islam annually?


Some help needed here about info. on Islam, how shud I structure it, what content should I put in?

i think there's already quite alot of leaflets like this already :) maybe you could focus on making a leaflet which is quite different somehow? maybe more original with newer arguments and more verses from qur'an? thats what i would focus on doing. since i feel the atheistic dawah is a hard hit on muslims today, let alone non muslims - so if you're interested in that, maybe target this audience since its in need of some help (theres alot of new-ish articles in the atheist/agnostic section).

one thing to keep in mind is in leaflets - you have limited space - so focus alot more on giving answers than questions (which might not always be answered due to this limited space.)
