![]() through my cursory reading of it, each one of these phrasal clauses is a negation of something. 1. وَلاَ يَتَكَيَّفُ فِي الْعَقْلِ is "and it has no form that can be perceived (within the mind)" 2. وَلاَ يَتَمَثَّلُ بِالنَّفْسِ is "and it does not resemble the selves (essences)" 3. وَلاَ يُتَصَوَّرُ فِي الْوَهْمِ is "and it cannot be conceived (depicted) in one's imagination" NOTE: these are phrasal clauses. Arabic cannot be literally translated in order to arrive at the exact intent of the speaker, rather it has to be conceptually explained which thus requires more textual reading in order for one to determine the subject matter as it will alot for a more accurate translation of what is being said. however, I have a hunch that these phrases are utilized by someone who is advocating or professing aqeedah. This is because from my experience, aqeedah texts sound just like this. It seems as the subject is speaking about "Allah" thus the translation (if the subject is indeed about Allah) would be 1. "and He has no form that can be perceived within the mind" (this is correct) 2. "and He does not resemble the selves (of creatures)" (this is correct) 3. "and His form cannot be conceived or depicted through one's imagination" (this is correct) I hope I was of help

| Salam wa alaykum. There is a Hadith: "Narrated by AbudDarda: Allah's Messenger (peace be upon him) said: Allah created Adam when He had to create him and He struck his right shoulder and there emitted from it white offspring as if they were white ants. He struck his left shoulder and there emitted from it the black offspring as if they were charcoal. He then said (to those who had been emitted) from the right (shoulder): For Paradise and I do not mind. Then He said to those (who had been emitted) from his left shoulder: They are for Hell and I do not mind." Transmitted by Ahmad. (Tirmidhi). | Salam. Does the following Hadith imply that Muhammad (saw) wanted to marry a woman (Jauniyya) who was still a kid? Because the word "wet nurse" is used. Bukhari Volume 7, Book 63, Number 182: "Narrated Abu Usaid: We went out with the Prophet to a garden called Ash-Shaut till we reached two walls between which we sat down. The Prophet said, "Sit here," and went in (the garden). The Jauniyya (a lady from Bani Jaun) had been brought and lodged in a house in a date-palm garden in the home of Umaima bint An-Nu'man bin Sharahil, and her wet nurse was with her. When the Prophet entered upon her, he said to her, "Give me yourself (in marriage) as a gift." She said, "Can a princess give herself in marriage to an ordinary man?" The Prophet raised his hand to pat her so that she might become tranquil. She said, "I seek refuge with Allah from you." He said, "You have sought refuge with One Who gives refuge. Then the Prophet came out to us and said, "O Abu Usaid! Give her two white linen dresses to wear and let her go back to her family." Narrated Sahl and Abu Usaid: The Prophet married Umaima bint Sharahil, and when she was brought to him, he stretched his hand towards her. It seemed that she disliked that, whereupon the Prophet ordered Abu Usaid to prepare her and to provide her with two white linen dresses. (See Hadith No. 541)." The Arabic text & commentary is here: Source: عرض المزيد عن نتائج البحث - موقع الإسلام Source: عرض المزيد عن نتائج البحث - موقع الإسلام Source:عرض المزيد عن نتائج البحث - موقع الإسلام Do the commentators say she was still a kid because of the wet nurse, or does the Arabic word "hadana" mean something else in this Hadith? |
