Default Annotated Qur'an Project?

There's an annotated Qur'an on the net by anti-islamic people, and they put the Qur'an translation surah by surah, and then whenever there's a verse on something like fighting, they will label it as a 'violent' verse etc.

They do this so people can read it and then pick the verses which are controversial, and then use them against muslims.

Sooooooo... i was thinking, what if we actually got a Qur'an translation (we already have one on this site), and then choose the controversial verses, and then comment on them to remove any misconceptions? :D Then some muslim or non muslim who is in any doubt about a verse can go to it straightaway to find a refutation or proper understanding?

this is a good example of something like this plan;

QuranJam

except ours is focused on refutations of doubts insha Allah

sounds good, but how are we going to clarify the misconceptions ourselves? look up the tafseer and contexts?

im in, it'll be worth while, inshallah.

asalam alykum

We simply answer doubts, like the aayah where the son inherits twice as much as the daughter, and a quick explanation what the wisdom behind this could be.

Ie. Because the man lookafters and provides for the household and its obligated for him to do that, so he gets more money.

I like the idea; however akhee, most of these will be covered in other responses which we will be posting up, insha'Allah. For example, the issue you mentioned will most likely be covered under women related issues. What we could do is link each of these ayaat to that specific section of the response. What do you say?

jazak Allah khayr :)

I was thinking that we could add it to an annotated Qur'an too, because this will be a quick source of reference for anyone interested insha Allah.

When all these projects go professional insha Allah, they will have similar refutations - but they will be in different formats for the different types of audiences. So someone has some confusion about an aayah, just search for it and voila! there's a refutation to a doubt.

It's also productive because its a response to the anti-quran site which annotates it in a negative light.

I've noticed that by doing all these projects, they'll be an offensive form of dawah and easily accessible for muslims, so we can progress onto better and more useful dawah techniques as time progresses insha Allah.

if i got permission to use this idea;

QuranJam

then you can simply copy and paste its coding (or something?), and we can fill in the refutation to the anti islamic claims for verses with the rich text editor tool which is already placed in the layout.

what do u say? :)
