AsalamuAlaykum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh,

Sorry I have no idea, but unfortunately as with most rich resources, it may be waiting in the 'I still need to be translated into English' pile.

The book is in arabic only.
It is an encyclopedia so i don't think it will ever be translated. The book is 49 volumes and two of my teachers and one close friend of mine has it. I have it only on my computer.

It is a book on history, biographical data, and some aspect of sciences of hadeeth as it relates to narrators and thus provides criticisms and praises of various individuals.

As salman pointed out, its author is haafidh shamsu-deen adh-dhahabee and is a co-student with bin katheer, both of whom were direct students of bin taymiyyah. Of course like many scholars of there era, they had studied eith about a hundred scholars. Imam adh-dhahabee had 80 female shaykhas whom he learned from and the same is the case with bin taymiyyah.

Asalamu alaikum
