Im not sure about the page issue and why it is 127 pages. I'll have to find it someway

when you said that it is about 400 pages, did you derive that based on that english work you uploaded or did you literaly see the actual arabic which was about 400 pages.

I was under the impression that it would be longer because you told me that the current English translated version of this is mukhtasir. I never seen the actual Arabic because this seems to be taken from his Majmoo al-Fatawa. Since the current translated work is about 220 pages, the Arabic work of 127 pages does not seem to be complete, Allahu a'lam.

Have you been able to confirm with anyone yet? I would suggest speaking with bro Abu Bakr, I am sure he knows. khayr, we need to get started with this as soon as possible because this is important work for our next stage of polemics. I am going to check with my ustad from Pakistan, they recently purchased the Majmoo al-Fatawa of the Shaykh al-Islam (rahimahullah) so I can ask to confirm the number of pages.

What I would say is that if we cannot confirm the exact number of pages within next few days then we should get started with at least what we have and if we would find more text later then we can work on it insha'Allah.

firstly, show me the english translation. The english translation I was talking about was some 5 page article on several websites. If you have a 220 pages book, then it becomes mandated upon you to upload for me so I can see it

If it was translated by an orientalist, it may be that he added a bunch of kalaam to his translation as is usual with most orientalist when they translate our works. It could be that half of that work is just his kalaam.

Secondly, one has to consider that in every translation, the english will automatically be more (in content) in order to properly convey the translated meaning of the arabic words. So it is highly likely that ibn taymiyyah's work, if translated, can go over 200 pages of english.

smile, habibi, I do not have the book with me neither it is available online. if we really want to confirm then we will have to buy it and if you wish then I can go ahead with purchasing it - it is not expensive. You can have a look at The Political thought of Ibn Taymiyyah. As far the Arabic work, it definitely seems to be longer, for example, if you look at this PDF, you will see they have quoted following as one of the references: Ibn Taimiyah, al-Siyasah al-Shar'iyah (Cairo: Dar al-Sha'b, 1971), p. 184.
