Thanks for the information
well, almost every muslim knows how to read quran with the help of what you call tashkeel.. everybody wants to learn to read our holy book. Kids go to mosques in summer holidays to learn. Well, they used to do that.. Because now a stupid rule forbids kids under 13 age attending Quran courses at Mosques.
well we know how to pronounce correctly but not as good as native speakers..
Thank you

I think we picked the easy way calling Tanween DOUBLE in Turkish.. iki kesra/esre (Double Kassra).. thank you both. I learnt more than I needed..

I am sorry if I sounded rude or something, I didn't mean to say that Turkish don't pronounce correctly. I am just telling my experience with my Turkish friend. I even asked her once why she is saying those words that way, she said "this is the Turkish way of saying them"!!

An example of what I meant is this:

you pronounce it as kesra instead of Kasra....which I think is what my friend called "the Turkish way"

another example is the Islam greeting Salam Alykom
many Turkish pronounce it as Selam Alekom
^^"btw, I see many other people from other countries pronounce the salam that way"

I hope you got what I mean, and I didn't meant to be pedantic here at all. Please feel free to ask anything in Arabic. I will be more than happy to help inshaAllah

All the best in your learning process, may Allah increase your knowledge.

Wasalam Alykom Wa RahmatuAllah

Ameen amat. May Allah bless you.
aayah, I think she didn't say anything to you. sorry, don't get me wrong. but, maybe she wrote to you. because if she did, you'd know that her pronounciation is good. it's just about Turkish way of writing..
when you say "Salam Alykom" and she says "Selam Alekom" (or Selam Aleykum) you pronounce the greeting same..
let me explain.. with the alphabet revolution in 1928 which I think is not suitable for writing Turkish, we've made our way of writing. (the Persian alphabet was suitable, though. because we have some sounds that are only found in Turkish and Persian.) And, because of the rev. gradually we lost some sounds or combined some alike sounds in one letter.
also, we use latin alphabet adding some letters to it, like Ç, Ş, Ğ, Ü, Ö, I (I or ı, not like that one in English),.. and we have really a way of writing and reading which is different from English..

I think this will help you;
