| ^ brother Acid all of your answers above can be ended with "een" or "oon" depend on the position of the word in the sentence, and whether its nasb, jar, or fath....(this is what so called "Nahu" or Arabic grammar) ِAs for number 4. Mutahir if it means the one who is pure then its written in more than one form like this: Mutah'ar. notice in this Ayah لا يَمَسُّهُ إِلا الْمُطَهَّرُونَ ( la yamassuhu illalmutaharoon)>> here is the plural of the word mutahar [56:79] we also can use Muttahir "by stressing on t" which is mean the one who is pure. Notice this Aayah وَاللـه يُحِبُّ الْمُطَّهِّرِينَ [9:108] (wallahi yahibullmuttahireen)>> plural as well And also like this: Mutatah'ir "stressing on h a bit" in this Aayah إِنَّ اللـه يُحِبُّ التَّوَّابِينَ وَيُحِبُّ الْمُتَطَهِّرِينَ [2:222] (InnaAllah Yuhibutawabeena wa yuhibuallmutatah'ireen)>> plural While if we want it to be the one who purify then we can write it as Mutah'ir "as was mentioned in the question". Although both of them are written in the same way in Arabic "مطهر" but the difference is only on the tashkil of the word, notice those small signs on each example I wrote. I hope I didn't confuse you! I know its confusing in the beginning but that is the richness of the language

| :Bro. Qatada mentioned that whenever we want to make anything plural than we add the suffix KUM while only K for singular. Quote:
Why do we say ALAYKUM rather than only Salam alayk Since Alaykum is a plural

| wa alykom asalam Well that's true, but in case of greeting its a bit different. A few people only say Assalam Alayk but the majority say it in plural. I am not sure of the reason behind that but maybe its due to showing respect to other so we use the plural form or such. It has been like that since the days of the prophet Mohammed Peace be upon him, but even at that time and according to the seerah of the prophet, some few people use the singular form. hope that help.
