| Am just shocked, The list itself isn't shocking its to see Al-Qarni in that list and Al Qardaawi... Btw Qarni is mentioned twice on number 27 too. The rest of the shuyukh I don't really know, but Amr Khalid, Az Zindaani I already knew about and don't listen to them. I just don't know what to trust anymore... Shouldn't Sh. Mohamed Sayed Tantawy be on the list? |

![]() akhee al-kareem, do you think you can give me a quick overview of his biography in English (i.e., his whereabouts, his shayuookh and his specialty)? Jazak Allah khayran Quote:
Honestly, these brothers need to chill out and relax. Having some mistakes doesn't make someone not a salafi. @aayah sister, as far Syed Qutb (rahimahullah) is concerned then we know he wasn't a scholar and he made some mistakes and we don't learn our deen from him. However, at the same time we don't start calling people qutbis, who respect him, and make takfir of Syed Qutb etc. We need to deal with him how our ulama have dealt with him. SubhaanAllah, look at #6, #10 and #35 in the list. PS: I think it would be best if we don't wast too much time and effort discussing the actions of these brothers. We have already discussed them on forum on more than few occasions. Let's make dua'a for everyone and stay away from all groups and only listen to those who are calling for knowledge.

EXACTLY!! Thanks for the reminder Because we are not scholars to label any scholar a kafir or any other labels if we don't have a very obvious evidence. And even if we have, this is not our job. This is a very serious issue. The list is scary though, many of the great scholars of the Ummah are there, Its better to stop here. I cant comment on this anymore P.S Lets not expect someone without any mistakes, we are humans after all.

my translation would look like this (it´s only the first part and i hope that it is understandable): He is a Da`iyyatu l-Mujaahidu respected Shaykh `A´idh bin `Abdu-llah al-Qarni, born in the City al-Qarn. He is born in year 1379 after Hijrah and visited the elementary school Aal Salmaan, then the middle school in the Institute of Knowledge in Riyadh, then the High school in Institute of Knowledge in Abha, and leaved the college with Usuul ad-Deen in the City of Abha. He got his Masters degree with his thesis named “Kitaabu l-Bid`ah wa Atharuha fi ad-duriyaat wa ar-riwaayah” Then he got his Doctor in “Tahqeeq al-Mufhim `ala mukhtasar saheeh muslim”. He was also a Imaam and Khaatib in the Mosque Abi Bakr as-Sadeeq in Abha. He memorized the Book of Allah `azza wa Jalla, then he read Tafseer al-Jalalayn and al-Mufradaat (I don´t know the English meaning for it, maybe vocabulary etc. …) to Shaykh Makhlouf (I think it is Shaykh Husnayn Makhlouf), then he read Tafseer Ibn Katheer and repeated it many times, then he read two big “parts” of Tafseer Ibn Jareer, then he busy himself for a good while with Zaadu l-Maseer from Ibnu l-Jausiya, then he read Tafseer al-Kishaaf al-Zamakhshari …, and he read mainly the Tafseer “Fi Dhilaali l-Qur´an” from Sayid Qutb, then he studied in private Tafseer al-Qurtubi, then he content himself with Fath al-Qadeer from ash-Shawkaanee with lessons in Manhaj, regarding Ahadeeth and Tafseer he got interest for it with Daru l-Manthura from as-Suyuti, then Tafseer Ruuh al-Ma`aani from Aluusee, then he read Tafseer ar-Raazee and the Tafsir of `Alaamah as-Sa`di and ad-Dussaree, then he mainly read Tafseer al-Baghawee and `adul-Razaaq and al-Mujaahid. ------ as you can see my english is too bad because my native language is moroccan arabic, rifi and german. | |

| Assalaamu Alikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuh subhaan Allah... Astagfero Allah Al Atheem ... anyway, I don`t care ... I respect all the shuyookh and won`t say or accuse anyone with anything...( who am I to do so?). and I don`t care as long as I am taking what they are saying and compare it with the Shari`aa`s rulings... if matching what in the Book of Allah ,Sunnah , the consensus of the companions of Rasool Allah salla Allahu alyhi wa sallam and Assalafu assalih and their Qiyaas then I will take it no matter what and if not then will leave it with out accusing anybody with anything...( we are human beings we fall in mistakes..right?) I think trying to correct our mistakes is away better than following and fishing the pitfalls of the others ... and btw , it is not easy to accuse someone who bears witness that there is no God but Allah and that Muhammad is His slave and His Messenger with Al kufur or distort his reputation...may Allah forgive us all Ameen you mentioned some dead Shuyookh and you might talking about them now while they are in one of the gardens of Allah`s paradise... so, please leave them alone ,we are not Allah... may Allah forgive us, preserve us all and reward us with Al Firdaws Al aa`laa with out being reckoning and the whole Ummah Ameen yes I forgot to say...Next time when anyone wants to reply on any topic please read the content and judge it from the perspective of the Book of Allah , the Sunnah of His Prophet salla Allahu Alyhi wa sallam and his companions guidance may Allah be pleased with them Ameen. just to be fair... leaving you all under Allah`s sight ,care and protection... Wassalaamu Alikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuh
