| ![]() hahahahaha, sorry akhee but this is funny. Are there any kafir animals? Akhee, the answer to this is simple, the revelation was sent down to humans and jins and not other creatures; end of story. Animals eating 'halal' food so that we can eat them doesn't prove that they are Muslims. It simply means that they are permissible for us to eat, nothing more nothing less. and Allah knows best subhaanAllah, some times some Muslims take things too far :D

| we converts from the street have a common saying on this issue because we came from kufr and shirk. When we look at animals somtimes, they are doing what they naturally do, an sometimes as a joke we would say "see, even that animal is muslim" However, this gesture of ours is not to be understood in the manner that is understood in the beginning post. when we say that, it is denoting that since the animal is doing what it is naturally suppose to do for the most part, then they are doing what Allah created it to do which is a form of submission, hence "muslim". And usually we would say this to animals in contrast with humans who are disobedient. but that joke should not be understood that animals are muslim or non muslims because that would by default entail that they have an aql and by that extension, they would have a shariah to follow. That's just simply stupid. |

| ![]() At first, please forgive me akhee Salman. I have 'zu'udzon' (thinking bad) to you and other admins. I thought this thread was deleted because (I thought) my question was inappropriate. I didn't realized if this thread was moved to the right section. Okay, back to topic. I visited another Islamic forum and I found a question from a sister who has a cat. She was in confusion because she cannot found 'halal meat' for her cat. According to her animal is Muslim. And according to another member she cannot feed her animal with 'haram meat' because her cat is Muslim. But I think that is not true. Animal cannot say shahada. And I remember when my teacher said "Animals are not obligated to salat because animal are not Muslims. So, if you never salat, you are same as animals". Thank you very much akhee Salman, akhee sunnikid, akhee al-boriqee. Jazak Allah khair. |

| ![]() I have asked a sister who say animals are Muslims, and she gave me this answer. ------------- Salaams brother the following information is taken from a site Islamtoday Question : I have read many times that all animals are Muslims. Is this true ? Answered by the Fatwa Department Research Committee - chaired by Sheikh 'Abd al-Wahhab al-Turayri We assume that you are referring to animals in the colloquial sense of physical creature other than human beings. Some people might say that animals are "Muslims" in a very figurative sense, since all animals submit natural laws and to the instincts that Allah has created within them. Since a Muslim literally means "one who submit (to Allah)", some people like to describe animals as being "Muslims" in the sense that animals do not consciously and deliberately disobey Allah. Of course, this does not means that they literally submit to Allah. Also, in some way, animals glorify Allah. For instance, the Prophet (peace be upon him) described ants as: "a nation which glorifies Allah." [Sahih Muslim (2241)] How animals glorify Allah is something we do not need to delve into. It is a matter of which Allah alone knows the true nature. Another thing worth mentioning is that animals have rights in Islam. They cannot be abused or ill-treated. Beast of burden cannot be overburdened. In literal sense, however, we cannot say that animals are Muslims. Islam is based on willing and knowing submission to Allah in faith. It is, necessarily, a matter entered into a rational being who comprehends the Message, believe in it with conviction, and puts in into practice. And Allah knows best. ------------------------- |
