Couple of months ago, a dutch producer, Geert Wilder made a 10 minutes video to expose the teachings of Islam. However, his poor attempt only exposed his hypocrisy and ignorance. In this article Shaykh Muhammad Salih Al-Munajjid (May Allah bless him) refutes some of the false accusations against Islam and advices Muslims how should we act in such situations.

In this thread, the readers can discuss the article in detail, ask questions for clarifications, help us polishing our arguments or share your arguments which I did not mention, and the non-Muslims can refute my points if they feel like it.

I say: the haters of Islam need to come up with new tricks and arguments, if they think they want to expose the teachings of Islam because repeating the same old arguments which have been refuted 100 times before and taking ayat of the Qur'an out of context does not prove their case rather it gives us the opportunity to expose their ignorance and lack of intelligence.

This movie...is just pathetic...even though i have not seen it yet..i think it serves no purpose.
On the other hand i have a question.
Should us muslims watch videos like these? Is it right for us to do so.?

I think yes if u beleive that these videos won't damage ur imaan. Cuz in order for us to clarify the message of islam, we have to clarify what non muslims dont understand.
But if ur imaan is weak...i think u shouldnt..

yeh, I watched the movie and it was really lame. He didn't bring any stronger evidence to prove his case. At the end, he only exposed his dishonesty and lack of intelligence. Their bible teaches genocide but off course why would they talk about it. It is clearly hypocrisy!

As far your second point, if you are not used to countering such things, then I agree with you. A person who lacks Islamic knowledge and has weaker Iman should stay away from suspicious arguments b/c shatan is waiting for the opportunity to put doubt in your mind. However, if you have the ability to refute the arguments, then you shouldn't hold back and do whatever you can. I remember myself back two years and I sometime still do the same and that is learn about Islam and read the Muslim refutations to these suspicious arguments before reading or listening to what haters have to say. You'll realize how silly, stupid and dubious their arguments are; it is not even funny...so many times, they shoot their own foot and make a fool of themselves. Insha'Allah, we'll see this more in future when I'll write some more articles.
