Default The Layout of iDawah.com

Asalamu alaikum wr wb.

The Layout ofiDawah.com

The design of the forum is going to be split up into categories which are usually linked together and many times have similar discussions.

We will have the following sections within the forum insha Allah;
Projects

Atheism / Agnostic

Christianity / Judaism

Islam / Refutations

-Qur'an

-Sunnah

Help Us!

Dawah Experiences

Heart-Softeners

- Biographies of the Righteous

General Chat

Each section will have Refutations & Discussions to the key points which the group relies on. I.e. the Big Bang theory aswell as Evolution will be addressed in the Atheism/Agnostic section insha Allah, it will discuss whether they are valid according to Islam, or maybe some concepts do fit in with our faith?

Similar will be done to issues relating to Christianity/Judaism - the concepts of Prophecies mentioned within their texts, how the People of the Book respond to these, and how we can respond in return.

The Islam & Refutations section will address Islamic issues, anything related to Islam which people may want to ask, along with refutations and discussions against the many anti-Islamic issues which they bring up.

This section will be abit more exciting because instead of posting long articles which people might not be too interested in - we will attempt to make the most simplest refutations and discussions so that you can give the quickest and powerful response within the smallest amount of time. This technique is important since people usually want a simple and short response without it dragging on too much. We will aim to achieve this together insha Allah.

The Projects section will involve dawah projects which are related to dawah, but involve other methods. Such as Youtube, or Hi5, Beebo etc. This section will be split up into Sub-categories and will involve the more graphical aspects, so if you're a good with Photoshop, Flash etc., or good with making videos - we need you. And we will promote you insha Allah.

The Help Us! section is a place where Muslims who require help from anywhere on the World Wide Web can come and ask for support. This feature may not be used too much during the early stages of the forum, however - the quicker people can learn, and the more supporting Muslims we can gather - the quicker this section will be useful insha Allah.

People from forums, websites, or even callers to Islam in MSA's (Muslim Student Associations) can come and ask for help. Whether you're preparing for an essay, debate or anything related to dawah - this is the section where you can ask for ideas or answers to questions which you're unsure of.

The site will be for Muslims only, or people who are willing to support an Islamic cause. It will not be a place to debate with non muslims, since there are many other forums which already have this as an option. Rather - the place will be a place of Islamic Discussion. We hope that keeping it a purely Islamic Environment will help the Muslims feel safe, and united insha Allah, and a place where the fruits of eman can grow without harm.

As time progresses, and we get more supporters - we hope to expand the forum insha Allah. For each section, there will be Moderators who have good experience in their respective section. We may make their user name colour abit different so that its easy to find out who they are so you can ask questions directly, if they have the time to respond. They may spend more time on making articles which will insha Allah respond to the issues relating to their section, and these can be shared and be discussed by everyone who is interested. This will make it more worthwhile for the person creating the articles aswell as the people reading, and insha Allah benefit all those involved.

We pray that you can support the forum, and that it can be a means of uniting the ummah aswell as supporting the guidance which the Lord of the Worlds has sent down to mankind as a Mercy and light. We ask Allah to make it a success and a form of goodness for all those involved. ameen.

Good Question. At the moment I dont think we have an application, or set of rules for one to apply for a moderator. BUT one thing which is every important is active participation. If we see that you are actively posting around the forum, then send one of the admins a PM, telling them WHY you want to be a mod, WHAT you can offer Islamic-Life. As you can see right now we dont have many mods, so you have better chances now if you are interested :P

So yea. BE ACTIVE!!!

In the meantime we should create an application for those who are interested.

Btw i love your sig.

I would say, That you dont need to send any applications or private messages to any admins/mod. To be a moderator depends on the participation as Raied said and the needs of the forum. Currently we are working hard to expand and promote the Islamic Life on the internet and Alhamdulillaah so far we are going great.

I am confident that one day we will see you as a mod for the Islamic-Life forums, although you currently are no better than any admin for us.. *smile*

Yeah this forum is a little small but inshAllah it will start to develop soon enough. I've been to TMZ(themuslimzone.com) and it started small but is pretty stable now like this I will try to preach some of my friends to join here.

Ones name is Salman Khan(not the actor) he is an excellent rolemodel for me and I might ask him to join.

Awww jazakAllah brothers. But admins are technical genius's and I'm not one yet although I'm studying computers. Yes I see only admins post often when barely and SM and moderators do and some have 3 or 14 posts. Maybe you choose wrong? Just my suggestion and may Allah make this forum the biggest and most beneficial forum that anyone has been to.
