Islamic-Life Mission statement

Our purpose

Islamic Life is a site that has been constructed for the purpose of creating a dawah database. For those not familiar with that term, Dawah is the process of inviting people to Islam. The idea is that Muslims who are active in giving dawah whether it is on-line or in real life, would have one site where they can look up anything they don't know how to reply to, or even request a very specific reply to a very specific question. The site consists of both a forum where new topics can be brought up; as well as a site where the best dawah from the forum will be placed on.

Our Goals

We hope to inshaAllah make this site as a database where both the common and uncommon questions that non-muslims ask can be answered. and where members can look up these replies in a quick and easy way.

Our policy

Although we encourage debate between Muslims and non-Muslims, and we do not have any taboos, for practical reasons we do not allow that kind of debate on our forum. Non-Muslims are allowed to be here and even ask questions, they aren't allowed though to argue against Islam or in favor of their views. There are many Islamic Forums where they can do that. And we don't want this one to turn out into just another forum like that. If the forum becomes cluttered with debates, it will become increasingly hard for people to use it as an information-database. People who do object to anything here, and wish to debate us can always send a pm or e-mail to the staff. We will inshaAllah take the time to answer your question if we are capable.

Our values

We have Islamic values and hope to abide by them. For our interactions this means that we should avoid fighting even when we have a disagreement, we should debate in the best of methods, we should be kind and helpfull.
For our arguments, this means that we have some limitations to our arguments such as: we cannot give tafsir of the Qur'an by personal interpretation, we cannot quote a fatwa of a scholar, and expect others to accept it simply because of his authority. Instead we should provide proofs from the Qur'an or sunnah along with it.
