| Asalamo Alikum. In the name of Allah the most Beneficient the Most Merciful Peace be upon all Islamic-Lifians. I just want to bring everyones attention to the "Qur'an" module implemented by Islamic-Life. This Module allows users to read the Qur'an in English and Arabic Text. You can find the "button" to enter this Module near the top of the Forum underneath the banner. It is located under the "Forum Rules" button and on the Right side of "Downloads" button. After clicking on this button you will see a list of Chapters from the Glorious Qur'an. These Chapters are listed in the order in which they appear in the Glorious Qur'an. They are not in order in which they were revealed. These Chapters are listed with the name of the Chapter in English and then in Arabic. If there is a Chapter you wish to read Click on the name of the Chapter. You will then enter a page where you will see the content of the Chapter in Arabic on the Right side of the page and in English on the left side of the page. For Chapters which are lengthy, pages have been created in order for you to flip through pages from 1,2,3,4...etc. InshAllah this Qur'an will beneficial to All users of Islamic-Life Muslims and Non-Muslims alike. If there are any verses which need clarification or elaboration on please feel free to contact any Admin, or post in the "Feedback & Help" section. Do not just "assume" something unless you are 100% sure.. Please refer to the screencaps below for further guidance on how to fully enjoy your experiance at Islamic-Life.com JazakAllah Khair to Brother Salman for working so hard on this Module. May Allah reward him and Grant him Paradise. |

| Wa'alikum-u-Salam bro I just would like to get every one's attention to one small thing. We can't use the word, "read" anymore when we refer to Qur'an because it doesn't carry the same meaning anymore. So please always use the word, "recite" when you refer to Qur'an. I would like to thank the brother who original came up with this idea and built this mod for other types of forums e.g. Joomla, IPB, phpNuke etc. However, no one ever tried to make one for vbulletin so allhamdulillah we succeeded. Insha'Allah, in future more features will be added. 1- add Search functionality 2- improve overall look and placing of items 3- add audio

| As-Salamu 'Alaykum Just would like to update everyone about the module. We've now added 27 different interpretation of the Qur'an in 24 different languages. Also, some cool options for the users; there're few more functionalities which still need to be implemented. I also shared this module with public community so you might come across it on other vbullletin boards. Allahmdulillah, this is a good achievement for Islamic-Life.

| my dear friends. :)Firstly, I wanted to thank the developers of "Glorious Qur'an" who have done an amazing job with this project, mashaAllah! May Allah bless them for this deed. Aameen. I wanted to ask whether this product would be compatible with vBulletin version 4 which is about to be released by the end of this year? If not, shall it be upgraded to make it compatible? I ask this because I personally would be disappointed to see something so wonderful stop functioning. Wishing you all the very best. JazakAllah! :) |

![]() wa iyyak wa Allahmdulillah - everything good is from Allah and we do not come up with anything ourselves. akhee, Allahu A'lam whether this will be compatible with vbulletin 4 but I wouldn't be surprised if it works with vbulletin 4. However, vb4 is rewrote as they say; so, I do not know if it would work for sure. There are still few bugs, need some important features, and code improvements - maybe rewrite most of it; I have been thinking of updating the product for quite sometime but haven't got the chance to do so. I will try to get these done at least by end of this year, insha'Allah. As far, whether product will be updated to accommodate vb4 changes, we are not updating our forum (after what vb pulled); so, I will have to find a way to test new changes to make it work on vb4. If current version is not compatible with vb4 then I will try my best insha'Allah to develop a newer version. However, when it would be possible would depend on how much stuff I got on my plate and priorities of the projects. I hope this helps, insha'Allah PS akhee, do you know any other Muslim developers on vbulletin.com or vbulletin.org, who are nice and know their stuff? Jazak Allah khayran; I am thinking of developing our own forum software with CMS & blog and all SEO features. For now, my plan is to target Muslim community and maybe make it free/open source.

| JazakAllah, Salman bro for responding to my query. :) I myself do not think that the product would require many major changes, since it seems to function independently, picking up images from the theme installed on the rest of the forum. The path to the images and layout is the only thing that comes to mind that may need review. However, you would know better. :) I can understand the reluctance to upgrade, since the decision by vBulletin did not sit well with many. Took me quite a while to finally decide to go for the upgrade. Just to update you, vBulletin released its first public beta (beta 3) for the 4.0 series yesterday. Having said that, I would LOVE to see this product go ahead for the benefit of all the Muslim communities over the globe. My friend, I myself am not a coder, rather am a physician and teacher by profession. So for that reason, I do not know many coders. However, I can point out a couple of people who may help you. Hasann: vBulletin.org Forum - View Profile: Hasann He is a coder at vBulletin.org, based in Turkey, who has come up with some nice modifications for vBulletin as well. Nabeel: اردو محفل فورم He is the administrator at UrduWeb.org, and has done lots of work in Urdu (Pakistani language). This includes conversion of vBulletin and Wordpress into the Urdu language, along with development of several fonts. You may want to contact them. If I may help you any more in this regard, please do let me know. I wish you all the success, for I really would love to see an upgrade to this product. JazakAllah! :)
